Horses waiting for their suppliment feed before the Roans arrive, Winter grass has no nutrician at present. Cody left caught coming to a sudden stop

This cowgirl had a little trouble roping the calf but succeeded in the end.

Time to wake up from hibernation. Hundreds of bees are enjoying the crocuses in my garden - what a joy!

I've been waiting a long time for a really good opportunity to photograph this bird, a species that lives in my neighborhood but is one of the rarer visitors to the yard. Finally I got my shot when I came home from work today and--seeing a lot of activity--decided to spend some time yardbirding. This sapsucker came down to the fountain about three meters from me and spent several minutes bathing and looking right at me without any apparent concern. Aside from identifying a new species in the yard (I'm talkin to you, pileated woodpecker), nothing could have been better. Red-breasted sapsucker, backyard Olympia.

I was fed up with winter by mid December and it had not even started by the calendar. Patio door is open and I am loving the fresh air, not so much the noise.

Finally got a somewhat close shot!

Photographing this iconic bridge has been on my list for many years. Finally...The Golden Gate Bridge - San Francisco, California

We finally got a sunny day after what seemed like endless rain and wind, so I went down to the ocean to photograph the sea birds. This pair of cormorants popped up while I was photographing a large group of Goldeneyes. I only had a few moments to photograph them as they glided through the golden water and headed off into the bay.

Finally got my CB loot, it was sadly delayed a couple of days, but I'm super satisfied and happy with my order. It was an extremely intense and fun day, but I only lost one fig in my cart. :D

So here it is, also those head crates are <3

Tell me what y'all think. God bless!

Good morning guys! Today is a big day because finally we reveal you our Lego® Ideas project we worked on since January! 🌟🌟🌟

Help us to make this idea real, supporting this project here! 😍

This project features a highly detailed replica of the iconic 1968 Fiat 500 F! Produced from 1957 to 1975 the Cinquecento is considered one of the first real city cars.

Consisting of 1157 pieces (all add-ons included) this model would be the ultimate for any fan of the Italian legend and definitely a great addition to any Lego collection.

Congress finally appropriated $20,000 for a lighthouse at Port Sanilac in 1885, and a site was selected and purchased. After specifications for the necessary metalwork were prepared, a contract was entered into, and the lantern room and spiral staircase were delivered to the Detroit lighthouse depot on October 1, 1885. Charles Diem, the contractor charged with erecting the brick tower and keeper’s dwelling, commenced work on June 7, 1886, and by the end of that month had made excavations for the structures, had put in place the concrete foundation for the dwelling and a portion of the four-feet-thick concrete foundation for the tower, and had laid about one-half of the stone foundation walls for the dwelling. The tower, dwelling, privy, and oil house were completed on October 13, 1886, and the station’s fixed white light, produced by a fourth-order, Barbier & Fenestre Fresnel lens, was placed in operation a week later on October 20, 1886. The work of grading, filling, and sodding the grounds, along with building a perimeter fence, laying sidewalks, and digging and lining a well was finished on October 23.

Situated 130 feet from the lakeshore, octagonal Port Sanilac Lighthouse stands fifty-nine feet tall and is connected to the nearby two-story keeper’s by a covered passageway. The eight-room dwelling had two, 2,200-gallon brick cisterns built beneath its kitchen that were used to collect rainwater for domestic use. Ile aux Galets Lighthouse is the only tower that resembles the one at Port Sanilac.

finally have the new website up....about time.

Finally got out with a friend who took me to a new waterfall, Melrose Falls. It's located just south of Saluda, NC on US176 not too far south from the turnoff to Pearsons Falls.

The hike isn't too bad coming in at less than a mile. There are some gentle to moderate grade changes. You end up at a rock outcropping near the bottom of the falls. But to get to a decent vantage point for a photo you need to go down a moderate to steep trail. Once there, be careful as there are sheer drops around you.

While this is a very nice waterfall, you're basically limited to a couple of spots to take photographs. An unexpected bonus is that there are a lot of wildflowers, especially trillium, along the trail. Please don't go off the trail as this is a delicate ecosystem. There are plenty of flowers next to the trail.

Thanks for viewing my photos. Comments are always welcome.

It was there!

From my trip to the Sunshine Coast, this was taken at Kings Beach.

Note the rocks are very slippery here, I went down 3 times, I didn't find it too funny but a few people on the cliff behind me did! :-)

Photo is 6 exposures tonemapped in Photomatix.

Did some shading, unmask sharpening and saturation in PS.

For the past few days, this female Black-headed Grosbeak has been coming to the yard. I finally managed to get a few pictures of her yesterday on the garden gate as well as at the feeder.

Finally visited this iconic castle, it is a fifteen minute walk through a very beautiful wooded area, and then around the corner you suddenly see this fantastic image appear before your eyes, a fairy tale, it was not the best lighting conditions and the autumn colors were almost gone but I am happy with this picture and I intend to return again.....

Finally a proper photo of the wonderful Natalie, who I was very lucky to meet and become friends with this December! We went out last week after classes and had lots of fun twirling in dresses and eating bagels (what else is new, heheh) ♥

You guys should check out her stream, she's doing an awesome 365!

HOPE YOU'RE ALL HAVING A HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!

Love you guys <3

North Leverton Windmill this evening.

I don't normally shoot star trails this long as I usually nearly die of boredom waiting for the sequence to finish. But when you're in good company with high quality banter, the time just flies by!

Happy first day of Winter! Conrail rotary snow plow No. 64599 reposes outside DeWitt Shops in November of 1983, ready to hit big drifts when the snows finally arrive (and they did that year).

Let’s Flip a coin!

Heads: I’m yours!

Tails: You are mine!

Finally – A monochromatic smile!

For the past several years, I have hoped to get a full on frontal photograph of the Lover's Lane Falls located in the Olympic National Park.

I finally did.

My kids and I tromped through some very heavy underbrush to get this particular angle that you see above. I had hoped to repel down (probably fall, breaking bones!) to the base of the falls, but thought better of this idea based on the steepness of the gorge. It is possible with perhaps more than just a rope. More planning is needed!

We had a wonderful day in the Sol Duc forest and as always, were grateful for each others good company :)

Been chasing this guy for months but he's always been too far, even with my telephoto. Finally, as I walked out the door to the deck, there he was, as close as he's ever been on a bush branch, seemingly ready for his close up.

Finally got to see this properly after it escaped me in the summer!

I owe this shot to my husband who spotted this owl in a tree by the road. I approached it slowly and this is as close as I finally got. He gave me 10 seconds and then flew across to a field, luckily for me, on a fence…Happy Friday everyone. :)
