Finally getting some warmer weather after our arctic blast. We faired better than most.

All the snow is gone again and the water is opening up on the lakes meaning more eagle activity!

Second shot of the day after driving around 130km to get in front of Aurizon locos 6025/6022/6023 heading empty container move 7PU1 at Wirrapppa, South Australia, on Monday 24 April 2023.

Commencing operation a year ago, this weekly return service is the longest mineral haul in Australia carrying processed mineral sands from Broken Hill in New South Wales to Perth in Western Australia. The loaded westbound train grosses between 9,000-10,000 tonnes.

Spring is definitively late this year...

Finally a sunny autumn day to hike!

The lake is the Tegern Lake. At this point we are hiking up to the summit called Setzberg.

Bavaria, Germany

Finally! An elusive bird for me. And got both on the same perch. A perfect day.

Northern lights, just outside Hammerfest, Norway

I didn't wear a coat to work today for the first time in almost six months. While we are not quite done with the cold, the freezing and the snow of winter has finally started to fade in our memories. Finally!

And a huge thank you and shout of appreciation to you. The support that I receive is so generous and amazing. I passed two million views this morning. It took me 35 months to reach one million. It took me 3 months to reach another. You have everything to do with that and I thank you.

Marvelous Monday to you my friend.

Nearly two years living here and this is the first koala I’ve spotted on our neighbouring golf course, which is also a conservation area. The koalas here are tagged and monitored by Currumbin Sanctuary wildlife park. Such a joy to see this one.

Supplying the local food market is hard work in the frosty winter.

Explore #480 Well after about 45 days we finally got a sunset of any note. I looked out the window and squealed when I saw it, it was such an unfamiliar, yet comforting sight ;)

There is a series of new advertisements on the television here at the moment. They are about (un)complicating your life, (un)stressing (un)winding and generally putting more (un) into your life.

It goes on to say.... does it really matter if for one night in the week the kids have toast for dinner, or the floor does not get mopped for a few days (weeks...lol) but that is is more important to (un)wind...

I am really liking these ads for some reason, and I am not a TV ad junkie kinda gal. lol But the message there is solid and (un)deniable.... we do need more (un) in our life.

So what things do we need to (un) up in our day to day routines?? that will make our lives less (un)comfortable and more (un)deniably wonderful lol ...

see I am liking the (un)'s

Is it ok to sometimes say well I am sorry, but I am (un)able to do that.....and more importantly be (un)affected by that choice.

Can we just let ourselves be (un)armed and let go....and not have to have everything planned and in order...

I certainly do not think that that is (un)attainable :) In fact I think it is definitely not (un)relalistic to want that for ourselves sometimes.

If we have learned this behaviour of always having to DO, can it be (un)learned?

I do think this could (un)lock some of the daily stresses if we just let go sometimes and be a little more (un)neurotic lol Because are we really being the best we can when we are (un)rested, (un)happy and (un)fulfilled?

So here is to getting some more (un) in your life. I would like to be more (un) encumbered, (un)wrinked and (un)even lol just to name a few......

How about you...? What would you like to (un) ?

Think about it lol I promise it wont be to (un)comforting....

So here is to an (un)eventful Saturday , a (un)caring Sunday and a (un)Mondayitis Monday lol :) Car (ok I made unmondayitis up- sue me lol )

I put in 3 new coneflowers, seems I got two that was red and one that was yellow, the last to put on pedals, ready for summer now.

It took until November for our area to burst with the normal colors of October, but here they are at long last.

Had not been getting anything on our two small potted Lantana, no bees, butterflies, hummingbirds. Zippo, zilch, nada! :) Then I looked out to see this tiny skipper on one, finally! Only about 3/4 inch in length. Had to grab a photo. Hopefully others will follow. Normally get some of each of the above every year but not this year for some reason.

I finally saw a Ferrari 599 GTO! And what a noise! Makes the old mans F430 sound like a Panda!

Finally, snow is here. It has been snowing on and off for two days, and the weather forecast predicts a difficult third day. We are preparing for a hit today. The snowstorm will start tonight.

And finally Winter, with its bitin', whinin' wind, and all the land will be mantled with snow.

6H79 enters the hopper house. a mere 163 minutes late.

For quite some time I was searching for an opportunity to photograph the thumb-sized European treefrogs. Over the years I had heard them a lot of times, but never saw, let alone photograph one. So you can imagine how happy I was to find my first treefrog. Photographing is not easy, since they seem tone having the habit to rest in impenetrable blackberry-shrubs. But I succeeded!

Enjoy!
