To avoid Anahid once more being frozen to an icycle Iggy surprised her with a holiday in the warmth of her home country. While spending time under the sun, within bright colours and relaxation without work and 'someone' trying to take over their wedding, the pair decided to elope and get married on the spot.
After years of evading a certain someone's question when they would finally get married (yes we mean you Reese) they tied the knot on Wednesday, the 19th of January in front of Ganesha guiding their path into a new chapter.

it means a lot to me and i've wanted it for a long time now. i'm so happy that i've finally done it.
(this is for every person that plays an important role in my life.
and it is also to remind myself that when there is no one else there i have the strength within myself.....corny.....but true.)

Delivered new to United Automobile, transferred to East Yorkshire's Scarborough and District operation. It was withdrawn in February 2000 converted to open top and exported to the US.
This VR has had three owners in America J&M Tours of San Diego then Eurofilm in Los Angeles and finally The Double Decker Bus Company in Las Vegas, Nevada.
FINALLY! It has not felt like January around here lately with the utter lack of this white stuff and the incredibly warm temps. Snow makes us really happy! For so many reasons.

I went to the first ever one and finally I managed to get back to LFF. Boy, what a good time I had. Highlights - seeing Birthday boy Patrick and my friend Jenny having not seen them for 10 years or so! Meeting Jen’s friends Mellissa who was fab. Seeing Jane and her face lighting up, I’ve never seen her dolled up before and she looks fab. I love our photos together with Benni too. Big shout out to Rachel Booooom boom (finally met you babe!) and her super stylish friend Chloe Martin. Let’s do it again soon?!
Finally Kokoro got her own green eyes! You probably wont notice any change, but all the pictures of her before this one was actually photoshopped with 'replace color' feature, 'cause she had deep blue colored eyes then. Haha. I'll show them soon. But I always wanted Kokoro to have green eyes, and I didnt want you and myself to get used to blue eyes while I was waiting for those...
It's just I LOVE blue eyes, LOVE them, but I already have 4 dolls with blue eyes, one with closed eyes, and two with black eyes.... it's time for variety! anyway, now Kokoro only needs more of clothes and shoes <3

I've been watching this vine for months waiting for it to do this! This wall is yet another place I walk past almost every day and I've been eying the small, red, waxy buds on this vine anxiously awaiting the moment of their spring debut.
The weather has been perfect the past few days so I guess the climactic moment happened over the weekend. When I walked past this morning on the way to work it was a nice surprise but it was too cloudy and dark at 06:30 to shoot anything meaningful... but this evening... it was magic. I'm so glad I finally got them. I saw it happen last year but wasn't carrying my camera daily like now and I swore that I'd get it this year... and I did. That doesn't happen very often. =D

After more than 10 years of trying, I finally saw a cheetah in the Pendjari.
Cheetahs are extremely rare in West Africa and only 15 individuals are estimated to survive in the Pendjari. Note they have a paler coat than cheetahs in other parts of Africa.
This female was quite far away and the picture isn't great, but this is one of those cases where the sighting is so special that you just get overwhelmed by your emotions.
At dawn, I noticed kob frantically whistling at something, but I couldn't see what it was, as it was hidden behind grass. We decided to wait, and boy was that a good decision! After a while, we discovered that what we thought would be a lion was actually this cheetah, feeding on a kill (probably a kob).

The firm was set up in 1861 by William Morris (1834-1896) as Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co, originally with (among others) Edward Burne-Jones, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Ford Madox Brown and Philip Webb. From 1865 the workshops were in Bloomsbury, and when in 1875 the firm changed its name to Morris & Co, Burne-Jones became the principal designer. In 1881 the workshops moved again, to Merton Abbey. Revolutionary in its beginnings, and extremely influential in terms of design and quality, the firm finally closed in 1947.

There's been some serious shortage of variety on this trip. You might expect to see a few 'foreign' units here 'n there, Norfolk Southern maybe, perhaps one or two from the KCS stable, KCS de Mexico if you got lucky, some Canadians sneaking south, the very occasional CSX interloper. Not a bit of it. None. Zip. Zilch. Zero.
Hire-in's from the leasing companies have been sparse, just a couple of Citirail units. Even previous liveries, or those from forming companies have been absent, save for a couple of Southern Pacific locos.
Conspicuous by their absence have been Warbonnets. There's a good number parked up at Barstow, presumably in warm storage, but honestly, have you ever tried to get a good pic of stuff buried deep in Barstow yard? Exactly...
Until today, that is. I was deep down 66, halfway between Ludlow and Amboy. There was a good amount of stuff to phot about, but anxious to catch what I considered a good chance of a golden hour, I was contemplating heading back west.
Then this happened...
I had no choice. I had to chase.
I'm guessing it's a local that had originated at Barstow, but I have no idea of it's destination. Possibly Cadiz. But that really matters not.

... I've found my everyday weapon. I really disliked the RF sistem, both the Zorki 4 and the Minolta 7S didn't gave me what I was expected to receive from this system, it's not for me!! So before acquiring a Pentax 40mm Pancake I took a last look at dad's camera collection and found this, a Kodak Retina 1b! for me it's great! Not to heavy and I'm sure the lens will give a lot of fun!

Finally I got my first Enzo. I saw a red Enzo yet but in a car dealer ship but now today I caught a Enzo on camera for my very first time. A real sick car looks not that bad.

Time for a big surprise; as the coal train rolled by, the 1069 lit up! Woo-hoo, finally! Even better the sun was trying to break out, and while I doubted that it would make it, at least it brightened things up considerably! The only fly in the ointment was the westbound coalie, I wanted a nice clear backdrop and it was still going by, but I got lucky; the 1069’s train was starting from a dead stop, and by time it got to Fairview Ave the coal was just clearing. My gain, big pain for the waiting traffic, but I really didn’t care, I had a train to catch!

One of many photographs from septembers LFF (Leeds First Friday). It was amazing to finally get back out to my favourite event after 18 months away from it.

I have a split personality when it comes to quilting. I love modern quilt fabrics such as Denyse Schmidt and Heather Ross, along with current day Japanese textiles from Suzuko Koseki, and Kumiko Fujita. At the same time I'm obsessed with vintage/antique Japanese cottons....mostly indigos. Quite tough on the wallet! After four years I finally gathered enough indigos and completed my Shizuko Kuroha quilt. Given another chance I would have organized the flow of color into a pattern. But as it is, I was stuck with adding a few triangles each week as they arrived in the mail from ebay auctions. The quilt is 108" x 110" which has made it impossible for me to get a good photo. I wish I could capture all the wonderful patterns. For anyone who hasn't experienced antique Japanese fabrics...it's fascinating when you know that many are hand spun, hand dyed, and hand woven. And as a testament in this quilt, still strong after 100 years.
Yay finally got Casta so happy, found her at TRU they had a like a bunch of her I carefully checked through them all to make sure she didn't have eye wonk and they all pretty much looked the same but at least I studied hard to find a perfect one and now I have.
It's taken a while but we were treated to a display of the Merry Dancers last Thursday. Not seen a show like this for a few years- ripples, pulses etc. Taken looking over the Kirbister Loch, Orphir.
Finally finished Ming! Ming's final picture will be put up ASAP. In the meantime, here's something I started working on for fun.
