....planted around 1880, this is only one of dozens located on the Explanade and in some backstreet plazas.
This is the scene of slow but age-old struggle: the tenacious tree is probing and poking the rock for cracks and fissures to exploit, while the rock - which probably predates the dinosaurs - holds steadfast and has seen it all before. The tree outgrows its support system and tumbles, to be taken by the sea at the end of this narrow pathway. However, the hardy tree's root-system lives on to sprout a new shoot heading for the light, and the struggle continues.
There's a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they're absolutely free.
If you want to be reminded of the love of the Lord, just watch the sunrise.
The secret to a good morning is to watch the sunrise with an open heart.
Be the morning in everyone's eyes and make their day turn into a thing of beauty.

He is looking for birds but fortunately they fly very high because they know there are cats here.

Ficus macrophylla, commonly known as the Moreton Bay fig or Australian banyan, is a large evergreen banyan tree of the Mulberry Family (Moraceae) native to eastern Australia, from the Wide Bay–Burnett region in the north to the Illawarra in New South Wales, as well as Lord Howe Island where the subspecies F. m. columnaris is a banyan form covering 2.5 acres (a hectare) or more of ground. Its common name is derived from Moreton Bay in Queensland, Australia. It is best known for its imposing buttress roots.

One of those ancient and great fig trees that are in Formentera under the Via Lactea.
These monumental specimens of fig trees have tops that cover an area of between 300 and 350 square meters. This group of fig trees were included in the Balearic Catalog of Singular Trees in 1993 due to their special characteristics and their age.
The structure that the trees present is the result of artificially maintaining a huge crown thanks to the help of struts and pitchforks.
It is a traditional technique that few know today and that is being lost, and that gives the tree a very horizontal configuration, capable of maintaining its long branches, which cover a lot of surface.
In fact, nowhere else in the Mediterranean are fig trees treated like that, instead of growing vertically, they grow horizontally.

There are a number of enormous Fig trees on Norfolk Island. This was one of a row with large spreading buttress roots along the road near the Hundred Acres Reserve. They were fabulously beautiful with their spreading branches and curving buttresses.
We are now at the end of the last days, and there are many brothers and sisters who believe sincerely in the Lord and await His return who must surely be thinking this question: In chapter 22, verse 12 of Revelation, the Lord Jesus prophesied, “And, behold, I come quickly.” The Lord promised us that He would come again in the last days, so has He now returned? This question really is so important to us Christians, so how exactly are we to know whether the Lord has really returned or not? In actual fact, the Lord Jesus has already told us through biblical prophecies, and as long as we take all the facts together and ponder them in earnest, then we will find the answer.
