The view from the kitchen window, February 2006. At night the lorikeets are replaced by fruit bats. Luckily there are lots of figs to share, and let's face it, they don't last long once they're picked. Come to think of it, between the birds, bats and ants, they don't last long before they're picked either.
It has nice water retaining roots which give it a nice look. Pitty about the leaf size, but that is no matter.
Here's another stone platform left by the Mayans, with trees taking over in the stead of whatever they'd been used for.
The huge fig tree was lit from behind and the sun was streaming through the canopy of leaves. Ref: D368-33
We have a little fig tree in our back yard, and obviously it's just starting to bloom. I don't know anything about fig trees, but I'm looking forward to the fruit.
Waiting for her bounty! By September, we had finally cleared our lawn of all the weeds and debris left us by the previous owners.
