The lads at the fence this morning couldn't have asked for better weather for the ferry flights of 8012 & 8014 to Saudi.
Last year during the Fliegerschießen Axalp 2023, hosted by the Swiss Airforce I managed to take this picture while the F/A-18C Hornet fighterjets are zooming through the valleys of the Swiss Alps!

The Opposing Knife-Edge Pass is an aerobatic maneuver of the Blue Angels, where the lead and opposing solo pilots perform a close scissors-cross maneuver in front of the crowd just a few feet from the tarmac.
We took a tour of the USS Yorktown in Charleston. The ship was quite a site to see. I left wondering what it must have been like to be aboard when under attack. The fear must have been intense. I also thought about us as people, devoting so much energy and effort to find new ways to kill one another. It worrries me at times.

Phantom Phriday. Have a great weekend everyone. Phantom F-4F 72-1200/HO 20thFS/49thFW based at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. She is seen seconds from landing on RWY29, as "RETRO 77" she was one of two F-4F's that were routing from Germany to Holloman AFB, New Mexico. Formerly 37+90 in the German AF. This jet was retired to AMARC on 06/01/2005.
