The cow on the left and the calf in the middle are the ones I posted earlier this month. The cow on the right was peacefully grazing nearby and kept getting closer. I thought maybe the mom might get a bit defensive, but all remained calm. Again, this is two cows and one calf...not a cow and two calves. The cow on the right is on lower ground, making her looks smaller.
This was taken during the rut and there was a large bull nearby but he stubbornly remained in tall, dense willows so no shot of him on this day.

Another from this fall....one of my favorite trees; I've often wondered why it's still standing, especially in the midst of a large farm field...and like to think, it must mean something special to someone. Have a great Friday, and as always, thanks for stopping by to visit!!!!

The 'Seven Sisters' are rarely seen in clear weather as in this photo ... typically they are shrouded in rain clouds but they are always beautiful regardless of the weather. This set of peaks are in my 'home region' in British Columbia's coastal range. In a "you couldn't make this stuff up" kind of way ... there is a set of equally spectacular peaks that can be seen from my Mother's birthplace in Norway that are also named the 'Seven Sisters' ... 'Syv Søstre.'
I must go photograph them one day!
The rape is just starting to burst into colour in the local fields. Hoping to get a few nice nights over the next week or two to get some more images of these fantastic colours.
I've passed this field quite a few times and thought there might be shot in it. This morning I snapped it with the infrared and between that and the mist, I think it came out all right? :)
