A series from a cold morning walk around a local farm, looking at the shapes of fields catching the early winter sun.
Colorful fall aspens light up the forest below cloud covered Sneffels Range in this view from West Dallas Creek Rd.
Travelling home after another hospital visit and the realisation of some bad news. I noticed a field full of poppies I had just passed, eventually finding somewhere safely to turn around and finding a small gated lane. I quickly climbed the gate and began taking a few shots. Looking over my shoulder expecting an angry farmer to arrive and begin telling me off again for taking photographs! It's happened before and it's made me a little paranoid, is it just me or does this happen to everyone! I was once taking shots of a rape field and I though the farmer was going to attack me, he was so angry and red faced, I didn't go there again. How sad, poor man could not understand how beautiful the scene was and why I would want to take photographs, he though I was up to no good, did he think I wanted to steal his crop! Anyway I had better luck this time and not a single poppy was taken.

The sunset is going to end a very hot day in the fields. The crops are turning gold and the sun is going yellow. What an amazing time...
If you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled. For you are in Elysium, and you're already dead!
A nice HDR, desaturated for Black and White.
June 28th, 2016, it has been a great season for haying, the weather has been extremely favourable to the farmer this year, this being one of the few days we have actually had cloud.
