We finished 2022 harvest last week and we were rewarded with this amazing sunset that evening. It was just in time, the following day temperatures plummeted into the 30s and today we are seeing our first measurable snow of the season!

Swan Creek Metropark
Whenever I get to add a new sparrow to my list, it is great! Sparrows get MUCH harder to find these days. We found these sparrows at a metropark near where we were staying.
I am really happy I was able to add three new sparrows to my list on this trip...two in Texas and one in Ohio!
Finally time to have a view back at the pictures done this year.
This is taken 5 am in the fields around my grandpa´s farmhouse. Now with the sun rising at 8 am it is almost unbelievable that during June sunrise is around 4 am. Still I miss the part standing up at that time and catching some sleep during lunchtime. Those times are so much more ... well ... adventurous.
8-1-15 After traveling thru a portion of Prince Christian Sound in Southern Greenland aboard the MS Veendam. The Veendam had to travel through a massive ice field. The ship was only able to travel 1 to 5 knots going through the ice. Many times using the ships thrusters to move the ice away from the ship.

I have a cabin about a hour away from my home (I have a youtube channel that covers it here, youtube.com/buffcleb ). Frequently I go down for just the day. This gives me the chance to catch good light first thing in the morning.
This time of year the farms on the way there are busy working their fields processing hay. Today I passed a field filled with round hay bales waiting to be loaded by a tractor working not far away. On the ride home they were gone.
This photo was processed in lightroom then the HDR was done in Photomatix Pro 5. I did a little work in photoshop cc then back to lightroom for the colorizing and vignetting.
