My mom and I both bought new pants recently, not realizing they were almost exactly the same. And then we both wore them this weekend. Oops.

A delicious glass of merlot, the recommended wine to go with the amazing tenderloin I had at dinner tonight. My friends came down from DC and took me out to this wonderful place in Norfolk called Vintage Kitchen. The food was truly to die for.

Day 4 of #febphotoaday

Took this shot while messing around trying to refresh my memory of how to shoot in manual. Not terrible, imho.

Anytime you see me online, imagine me standing here, in my living room, back to the TV, facing my kitchen. Yes, I said standing. I rarely sit when I'm at home. I sit when my husband gets home and turns on the TV. Or if I'm knitting, I will sit, sometimes. See that bowl to the right of my laptop? That's my lunch. I had collard greens for lunch today. Usually there's a hot cup of Rooibos tea with a bit of cream and sugar there.

FEBphotoaday: 10 a.m.

Sunday morning and I'm relaxing with the New York Review of Books and some o.j. (or is that a mimosa?) in front of the fire.

For me things like cogs represent the moving parts of machines ... but of course these days machines are more often run by circuit boards rather than simpler technology such as this ... and even in this case as this is a close up of parts from an old printer.
