Does anybody know what plant this is? It grows as a bush with orangy-red blossoms like this one.
The special thing about the blossom is that it smells very intensely like fresh green apples.
Southern Sullied Sailer? The sailers looks very similar from the book....
[I know now it is Common Sailer instead.]
Love this place. A fav macro holiday destination for Sarah and I. Hot Tub Motel, pleasant dining, great breakfasts stunning sights.. all less than 2hrs from home for us.
I was afraid to get too close, for fear that he would actually touch my lens. Then he would crawl on my camera; then I would freak myself out; then my camera would hit the ground... Maybe I should stick with macros of the non-living kind? |

This photo was taken at the Birmingham zoo. Dragonflies are not technically on exhibit there, but there were an awful lot of them buzzing around. Best viewed large.
