Faulty camera user shot!

SX-70 Model 2, SX70 Colour film, 1 mark to darken, ejection fault

Any Ideas anyone?? My 24-105 has started playing up! initially it would take the exposure and say "clean contacts on lens fault" or something similar, now it has started making the noise you can hopefully hear above?? Though it seems to be functioning relatively ok now, occasionally making the noise? Any Ideas anyone?? Thanks for any input!!

Above you can hear it shooting one frame after another, before it would attempt to shoot a frame then freeze with error code on LCD and clean contacts, which I have done by the way!!

The cover of The Faulty EP, a band I was in about 3 years or so ago. The music still kicks ass. You may still be able to download it from www.thefaulty.com.

I see this courtyard a few times a year; I wander downtown Buffalo, NY on my lunch breaks and it calls to me, so every so often I pass by and visit it.

I want to meet the people who live here and share an evening of discussion, laughter, red wine and salty snacks. I want the scene to be softly lit by flickering candlelight, I want to hear the din of the evening city that surrounds this house, punctuated with the random - but not too frequent - chirps of old brakes from the passing cars and the clop-clops of pedestrians on their way out for a night on the town.

I want the mischievous breeze to blow out a candle or two, flip the end of the tablecloth up or toss the seatcushion whenever our host steps inside to fetch another bottle.

Until that time I will continue to admire their breakfast nook and wave back whenever the basil musters raising a crinkly, sagging leaf.

This is from the defective D700 that I took back to Adorama the morning of our flight home. They exchanged it for a new one with no questions asked, other than what they needed to tell Nikon.

See the weird digital artefacts next to the highlights? I didn't notice them at first, on the camera screen. So glad I did!

Learning networking skills from Seneca:

"...It is equally faulty to trust everyone and to trust no one. Yet the former fault is, I should say, the more ingenuous, the latter the more safe. In like manner you should rebuke these two kinds of men, - both those who always lack repose, and those who are always in repose. For love of bustle is not industry, - it is only the restlessness of a hunted mind. And true repose does not consist in condemning all motion as merely vexation; that kind of repose is slackness and inertia. Therefore, you should note the following saying, taken from my reading in Pomponius: "Some men shrink into dark corners, to such a degree that they see darkly by day." No, men should combine these tendencies, and he who reposes should act and be who acts should take repose. Discuss the problem with Nature; she will tell you that she has created both day and night." www.stoics.com/seneca_epistles_book_1.html#‘III1

Done another reboot and got this about 2 seconds after rebooting. That's the Xbox360 logo screen, just after you turn it on. I was starting to get sad at this point.

I really hope that we won't have to add the pedestrian bridge in Jordbro to this Wikipedia list. It was a warm day today and the steel bridge over the busy road looked a bit unsafe. As I took this photo an electrical vehicle from the municipality had just passed,or perhaps I should say had jumped over the steel plates.

The faulty (obverse) strike came after the regular one and considering the matching (reverse) section is blank what seems to have happened is that after the first - normally centred strike - the striker's assistant whose job it was to knock the coin off the obverse die and insert a new blank, didn't knock it off the die fully but still managed to insert a new blank in time for the striker to strike again. So the reverse offstruck section shows the shape of the blank that was inserted above your coin; the obverse section just overlapped the lower die. There exists somewhere a matching coin with a crescent-shaped part-brockage obverse section but a fully normal reverse. This will also look like an odd coin.
