It seems that my SD card was faulty and all my prepared RAW shots for today were gone. I was about to skip this weeks MM, but then I took some new shots, and here is my entry for today, at last!

South Portland Street Suspension Bridge in Glasgow - looking North. This bridge opened in 1853 but was reconstructed in 1871 due to sub Standard materials being used. More repairs were made in 1926, 1997 & it was repainted in 2005. These arches are rather imposing. All the suspension steel was replaced in 1871. The Forth Road Bridge was not the first Scottish suspension bridge to have faulty main cables.

I'm on watch here

So close your eyes and get some rest

I'm here to watch your heart

It's been faulty from the start

I'm the ribs in your chest

I'm not an angel

I never mean to make you cry

Jumping through my hoops

With dissention in the troops

And a smile and a sigh

What's that over your shoulder?

Fear of getting older

Stay with me

Sing me a love song

From your heart or from the phonebook

It don't matter to me

I'm am apple, you're the tree

I won't fall when you're shook

What's that over your shoulder?

Fear of getting older

Stay with me

It ends with a kiss

It ends with a tear

It ends with the lights out

Bathed in our fears

Tell me nonsense

I don't want sincere

I saw the lightning

Cut through the last winter sky of the year

Stay with me

Keep with me

A silent faulty feeling

A silent fault

I sigh and fall to the ceiling

I sigh and run to the kneeling

Asylums for the feeling

Ran out of all the meaning

It's hard to fall

I had my MRI last tuesday, Mar 7th. this was to hopefully discover the cause of my balance problems and my faulty eyesight [which after much testing was thought not to be because of faulty eyeglasses or eyeballs.]

sometime in the last year, I had a stroke with cerebellum damage.

Faultier - Sloth - Paresseux

Faulty image. I'm going to have to practice. A lot. :-)

Had to figure out a different take on this backdrop, and having seen a flood or too from faulty waterclosets/toilets over the years…. This came to mind.

Caught this little sloth at top speed crossing the road in Panama. It actually took 3 min to cross...;)

I posted a picture of Lancaster Tavern last year. It has been almost constantly in use as a tavern/inn since 1790, except for the years 1894-1982 when it served as a private residence.

About six weeks ago there was a fire that started on the top floor where someone was living. Faulty wiring is assumed to be the cause. Thankfully no one was hurt.

In my first comment, I am posting a photo of how it looked before the fire. That photo is of the other side, but this side shows the roof damage better. The owners say they will rebuild.

Prepared but not submitted to World Photography Day Contest 2022 - due to my faulty miss-saw the hour of ending (not 00:00, but 9:00 PT) Apologies to FLICKR

My hot water service failed at the week end, and today a service man came to replace a faulty part. He removed the cover and there in a warm spot was a clutch of 8 tiny lizard's eggs. They were left undisturbed, but I had to have a few photos. I've seen lizard's eggs before, usually when I have dug them up in the garden. This time it seems mother lizard found a nice warm spot to lay her eggs. If the hot water service hadn't failed, I would have missed them. It doesn't take much to excite me.

Castle Semple Loch, Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire. This solitary Whooper was amongst the Mute Swans at the loch today. I don't quite understand what's going on, as Whoopers normally migrate here from Iceland during the winter months only. Maybe his sat-nav is faulty... ;-))

not perfect; faulty or incomplete ...

Black squirrel (Melanistic fox squirrels) with food at the park.

This first tries last year with the Kodak P880. Suppose faulty electronics from this used 17 year old camera would not allow me to adjust the aperture in M mode. Finally I said to it: you take the damn picture! and put in auto mode. Well in its wisdom chose f3.6 for a landscape. Who knew? And I cropped to get the pano effect.

I thought my camera was faulty as it kept taking double exposures and then I noticed that I had accidentally set it to the multiple exposure setting! Most of them weren't much good, but I rather liked this one. I shot a red begonia in my window and then went on to photograph a dragon pop-up card, against a green vase, and this is the combined result. After a bit of messing around in Topaz Glow and Photoshop that is ;-) HSS!

I love wandering these wonderful sims <3

A beautiful Autumnal Scene from the Lake District. I'm really glad that this shot turned out as I had a faulty sensor and a tripod that had the stability of a Jellyfish. Thanks for looking.

“Sometimes, when people have a low opinion of their own worth—or, perhaps, when they refuse responsibility for their lives—they choose a new acquaintance, of precisely the type who proved troublesome in the past. Such people don’t believe that they deserve any better—so they don’t go looking for it. Or, perhaps, they don’t want the trouble of better. Freud called this a ‘repetition compulsion.’ He thought of it as an unconscious drive to repeat the horrors of the past—sometimes, perhaps, to formulate those horrors more precisely, sometimes to attempt more active mastery and sometimes, perhaps, because no alternatives beckon. People create their worlds with the tools they have directly at hand. Faulty tools produce faulty results. Repeated use of the same faulty tools produces the same faulty results. It is in this manner that those who fail to learn from the past doom themselves to repeat it. It’s partly fate. It’s partly inability. It’s partly … unwillingness to learn? Refusal to learn? Motivated refusal to learn?” Jordan B Peterson

Psalm 78:57 “Like their ancestors they were disloyal and faithless, as unreliable as a faulty bow.”

This winter I shot 5 Ilford B&W rolls, and three of the films were faulty. One roll was not scannable. On one roll, I was able to scan two pictures. One roll, though it was screwed, I was able to salvage the whole roll. Of course, I screwed up some shots on this roll. I wasn’t paying attention and wound the film too far. I tried to fix it but the film was too tight to wind all the way back. So I had a triple panoramic. I could have cropped the images to save them, but I didn’t feel like it. The guys at the camera store said that the rolls had been exposed to heat (not from me). On another note: the viewfinder on my camera is off, which has made for some bad-looking compositions.

This is tulipa clusiana - hybrid ' Peppermint Stick ' photographed through condensation on the inside of a faulty double glazed window. Tulipa clusiana, or the Lady Tulip is a native of Afghanistan, iran, Pakistan and the Western Himalayas. It has been naturalised in many other countries such as France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Tunisia, Greece and Turkey, therefore it is a most suitable species to upload on International Plant Appreciation Day.

How can something that felt so perfect, be so faulty?

Our relationship ended in anger. No pity nor sympathy can even be traced. It felt like we were sworn enemies. The words that we exchanged were like rusty swords that could break by just one final blow. Until it did, our final goodbye was filled with hatred. Smiles turned into cries, butterflies in our stomach became tied knots that would make you feel like you wanna vomit. Heart beats that usually meant flutters turned into heart ache.

Regret. That's what I felt.

Afraid to close my eyes cause all I could see was him. Sleepless nights, myself fights.

Was it my fault?

How can a love that felt so perfect, be so faulty. But isn't that what we all feel when we're in love? We are fully aware of the flaws and yet we still continue to love. I realized, there's nothing really special with our relationship at all.

It was just a typical break up after all...

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The file date in my camera is faulty cannot set, the correct date for this capture 11/03/2019.

A fabulous evening on the summer solstice for a pair of Skodas amongst the Cumbrian Fells. 90011 and 90016 pass Lambrigg with the 4M80 16.33 Coatbridge-Crewe Basford Hall liner which was running slightly early. It was a shame that the load wasn't more substantial. There were plenty of positives to take away though: the fine evening sunshine was a highlight, the placement of a container directly behind the locomotives was rather fortuitous, and pans were facing in the same direction for the perfectionists.

This location is noteworthy as the site of a serious derailment involving a Virgin Pendolino in 2007, the primary cause identified was a faulty set of points on a crossover, removed after the accident.
