Basler Herbstmesse. The largest mobile big wheel in Europe at 60m high (mobile = they can dismantle it and take it to another fairground).
This was our second trip up in the Riesenrad that day. Luckily for me, Nina was keen to go up again and I got to take more night shots of Basel. It was high enough that at the top you could hardly hear the noise of the fairground. Up there it was so peaceful, looking down on the Münsterplatz and the Rhein.

Held back following a fast run from King's Cross, D9000 'Royal Scots Grey' cruises towards Holme Green crossing, north of Langford, with the initial leg of Steam Dreams' multi-day Edinburgh excursion (1Z46 08:44 London King's Cross-Edinburgh) on 23rd November 2023. Type 4 (Class 47) No.D1924 (47810) 'Crewe Diesel Depot' bookends the ever-immaculate Saphos set.
The 'Deltic' would work the charter as far as York, where No.60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' took charge for the run to the Scottish capital.
Ralph dropping fast in a "hot rappel" as a Greenville News photographer captures the moment on film. This photo was used in a newspaper article in August of 1974. This was one of my favorite rappelling and climbing locations on Glassy Mountain, just up from Camp Old Indian.
Today (2008) this is area is in a private, gated community and golf course called "The Cliffs of Glassy." Adventurers like myself no longer have access to these cliffs. This cliff is now in someone's front yard. They'd just better watch that first step...it's a doozy!

So I went to the theater for Fast & Furious 7, the ending song was so amazing that I had to pull out out my phone and use TrackID to identify the song name.
The look on this woodpecker's face seems to drive the coupe just a little faster. As you can tell, the lines and custom paint on this bright red beauty really caught my eye. This sure is a car with style!

I turned the birdbath upside down and placed the solar sipper on it, leaving the lid off so that the birds could get used to it. I was barely in the house when a bluebird stopped by for a drink. He flew off before I could get the camera ready, but at least there is a glimpse of him.
