Dead Fast Ghoulia!

She arrived today and I am sooooo in love. She is so amazing! I didn't realized that she comes with a small action figure in blister pack - that's so cool!

If American pop culture, American cinema and economically priced American food comas are your thing, then, by extension, Planet Hollywood in Haymarket is also your thing. Strangely enough, it's a bit of a tourist trap - despite being one of the most UNBritish places on that stretch of Haymarket. Come to England, inhale/imbibe & enjoy American pop culture and food? I donât understand at allbut seems to be working, so good on them. The place is not too expensive, at least by the standards of the location. Itâs American cuisine in an 'international' style - noodles, burger, pizza, tex-mex, etc. A fast food experience, but a good one (plus big U.S portions, so doggie-bags are OK!).

'Eat, drink and feel famousâ is the thing. Not sure if thatâs what they deliver BUT it is one of the most fun and OTT dining experiences Iâve had in quite some time. The staff were, in my experience, beyond friendly. Itâs also a very good place to bring your kids - in March 2015, it was voted as Bookatableâs âBest London Child Friendly Restaurantâ. However, as we were there drinking cocktails and bourbon (MURICA) on a Friday evening I donât think I saw that many children. Or maybe I was too busy with the food (and it was a lot of food).

The ambiance could be described as âbuzzing', at various points it kinda felt like a club (but with the volume and social awkwardness turned way down). Speaking of music - theyâre big on the MTV classics/silly music videos, circa 70s-90s on the many (16) TVs located all about the restaurant. And where else in London can you justifiably watch TV as you eat? Is that a thing? The TVs also occasionally broadcast live footage of things happening in the restaurant (various hidden cameras roving about high up on the walls). Which means that you and your dining companions may suddenly (and briefly) be on display for everyone to see - which is a bit like the 'kiss camâ you get at baseball games in the US.

And Iâd remiss if I forgot to mention some of the movie memorabilia on the walls. This includes (...wait for it!): a Gremlin (from the film franchise of the same name), stuff from Terminator ll including Arnieâs black leather jacket and grenade launcher. The (original) red Power Rangerâs costume. Han Solo in Carbonite from Return Of The Jedi. The knife from Rambo 3. The shoes from Rocky 3. Things from the Die Hard series, such as McClaneâs coat. And much more (an entire ROOM full of James Bond stuff - legit!). Itâs a shrine/homage/museum to all the 80s culture and silver screen movie love that I (and you, probably...) grew up on. Thereâs also a shop by the entrance shamelessly selling souvenirs and memorabilia. Iâll certainly be back, the welcome is warm. and the lulz are strong...

This notorious place in Delft is a cash cow for the police. On this wide and clear road it is not allowed to drive faster than 50 km/h. However, many drivers that don't know the situation do and are registered by the speed camera. An expensive picture.

Fast Money (www.99bill.com) is an electronic payment service provider (like Paypal), headquartered in Shanghai. In 2006, the regulations related to e-pay services were released by the government, which declared the market would be regulated soon and only licensed companies are allowed to remain in the market. Less than 10 licenses are predicted, a development probably leading up to a huge shake-out among the principal competitors and bringing about take-over battles.

Unlike West Berlin, which flourished after World War Two, East Berlin under communist rule did not do so well. West Berlin had capital coming in from the United States and laborers coming over from East Berlin so it was able to get back on its feet rather quickly. East Berlin on the other hand, even to this day as evident from this photo, was bleak and deserted. There were no frills on the buildings, no shops or markets, everything in the communist system belonged to the state. Prices of food skyrocketed while wages and living conditions plummeted. Also, a gradual loss of intellectual freedom was taking place in East Berlin, they were being told more and more that certain plays, books, music and etc. were not permitted. However, in Allied controlled West Berlin, business boomed, industry found a place to prosper and market their goods and a demand for goods pushed wages up fast. And finally, West Berliners enjoyed the freedom to go to cultural shows and activities such as plays and concerts. It’s no wonder people were willing to risk their lives to escape to West Berlin and why the Soviets saw a need to build a wall to protect the “stability” of East Berlin.
