In the island of Paquetá.
Paquetá is a small island where the time had stopped decades ago... It could be another city, a small one, but its a district of the Wonderful City, Rio, located in the middle of Guanabara Bay. After a bit more than one hour by ferry boat you arrive in this bucolic place where cars are not allowed, only bicycles and horses. Its a place of tranquility...

A 'pigeon fancier' into racing has had this impressive airbrushing done on the back panel of the car.
Not only that though - he's gone for a personalised registration too.
(In Scotland - a pigeon/dove is known as a 'doo').

I love this daylily because it looks fancy with the ruffles around the edges of the bloom. I look forward to the blooms every year.
Kate requested a fancy-dress birthday, so we made it so.

We've had some balls of yarn donated to our knitting group, for use in charity projects... including this fancy stuff. It's so soft and fluffy!
Looking up one of the front doors of the State Parliament House in Melbourne. A lovely old building with a lot of fancy details, on top of an imposing set of steps. Actually I noticed that the steps were chalked with numbers and letters, for when they were used as seats for a show, which was nice that they still used the place for community events and not just a museum.

I'm going to a concert soirée tomorrow, so I wanted to do something a bit fancy with my nails.
I've chosen a bright red nails with a glitter detail, because I haven't done red nails forever.
This manicure is quite festive, so I think it could be used for Christmas celebrations beautifully :-)
Base: NYC no. 235 Fine Red Wine - a gorgeous bright red creme
Glitter: Essence no. 121 Gold Fever - fine gold glitter with red glitter here and there, Miss Selene no. 166 - fine red glitter in clear base.
