Georgia. Not a common fall migrant here but pretty reliable within a two week window beginning the last week or so of September. Sometimes they will come to their call even this late in the season. There were two birds working the privet which had a few ripe purple berries.
Falling all Over lots of acorns and leaves are coming down now with more getting ready to jump off,, shot in North Carolina.

As the season is drawing to a close there will be winter snow ahead. Blessed to live in a area that brings four seasons to the valley.

With a day off from school due to sickness, it has given me time to go back and look through some old photos, especially ones from this fall. Now I am caught thinking back to fall and all of eh beautiful colors and birds. It just has me excited for next fall!

As - at least for meteorologists - the winter started today, I think the fall 2014, which has been quite amazing, deserves some goodbye pic! With some brown leaves, mushrooms, a little grass and some other "ingredients" ;-) .
Took this one with aperture f/8.0, and a shutter speed of 0.3 at ISO 100, using a tripod.
I love black and white but a B&W leaf is just a leaf. A green leaf is not much better. But a red leaf rocks.

These ducks were having fun playing in the water against a background of fall leaves.
