Ninai fall in fall foliage

Falling in love over and over again with you♥

The leaves look pretty good this year for a change.

A sunny Sunday afternoon in the Kurpark.

Bad Oeynhausen is a nice little town in East Westphalia, famous as a spa centre for more than a century. My favourite place in town is the Kurpark (spa gardens) with beautiful garden architecture and historical buildings of the early days of the spa era. This Saturday we enjoyed the perfect Autumn sun in the park.

Day 99 of 365.

A reminder for those who participate in this semi-annual ritual.

Landscape photography is getting trendy. Its hard to stand out. This is especially true with locations. There are many beautiful locations in the world. In many of these, almost anyone can point a camera at the right scene and it will be stunning. I know this because when the conditions are right to shoot a cetrtain scene, I find there are 10 other photographers there too. Look at Tunnel View on a good night (hell, any night). So I am trying to shoot emotion more often. People get charged by different scenes, different pre-charged memories. My sister loves barns, some love the open road, others love fields of flowers. These do not need to be iconic, you don't have to have Mt. Fuji in the background to evoke these pre-charged emotions in people. So I am trying to look for everyday scenes that can be processed in a way that evokes these emotions. Not that I will ignore Multnomah Falls, don't get me wrong. But this is a good way to be able to shoot more often.

This is one of those scenes. Not so special. Its just an old train trestle on the way out to Vernonia. But the colors communicate more than just color, it hopefully evokes feelings of fall, sharpened pencils, dusty jackets returning to main rotation, storing the boogie boards and getting down the snow shoes. At the same time, the road, I hope, makes you feel free. This image pulls you into the light. The road, inviting, the bend after the trestle? Who knows! Adventure. Adventure in the cold. You, the wheel, a tank of gas, cold air outside, and endless opportunity.

This is a 5 image HDR stack, processed in photoshop and light room with luminosity masks and the back door wide open so I shivered while I processed it. I love the cold! Enjoy fall. Get out in it.

Such a pretty location, the prefect spot for mirror-like reflections. Taken near Crousetown, Nova Scotia.

The calming trickle of the Fall River was momentarily disrupted by the sounds of Amtrak's Vermonter trying to make up for lost time on this beautiful autumn day.

An absolutely stunning fall day in early November at the Chateau de Fontainebleau, France - it snowed the next morning

Georgia. Not a common fall migrant here but pretty reliable within a two week window beginning the last week or so of September. Sometimes they will come to their call even this late in the season. There were two birds working the privet which had a few ripe purple berries.

I think, I needed to post something to represent ''fall''...
