I really enjoy autumn time when the trees display a varied amount of intense colours before the starkness of winter.
While out for a drive I saw this driveway and stopped to get a photo, the cool air is just now beginning and rains, so in couple of weeks this will be much different for for Smile on Saturday this is as fall as it gets this week, the second week of October.
"Fall, or autumn" for me means autumn chrysanthemums, fallen autumn leaves and grain harvest.
„Herbst" bedeutet für mich Herbstchrysanthemen, abgefallenes Herbstlaub und Getreide Ernte.

Smile on Saturday: Floral Fantasy
I have started with my Fall decorating outside, even though the first day of Fall isn't for a few more days. Yesterday I visited the garden center and bought six mums. Two each of orange (seen here), purple and yellow. We grew our own pumpkins this year which I will use to decorate with as well. Even though I do enjoy summer, I am ready and excited for what Fall brings. 🍁
Edit: Oops - I just re-read the theme description and this may not fit the criteria as it may be considered too much macro. Either way, I will leave that up to the moderators and still thank you for your visit! HSoS! :)
The word Fall was used alongside the older term 'Autumn' in the 1600s. Both words were taken to America by the settlers, but Fall stuck in America and I think it is such a realistic description of what happens in deciduous woodland, I like the term. Here are some wonderful leaves in our local park, waiting to fall.

This is not my type of story... a sad story. I love to photograph all kinds of little flying creatures and I became an unwitting witness... I took a few pictures. A spider and a fly. Nature. Early fall.

While taking nice headland shots of a surprising sunrise, that coloured very beautifully, I noticed the gentle gradation of colour dropping through the layers of sky above Devon, and finally the
sea. There was no feature, but I loved the way they melded into each other. Falling Down by Muse is fine, as the pink seemed to be washing down across the view, blending it all together.
