My first attempt with my new macro light. I like my new light, though it will require quite a bit more study!

Macro lights come in different styles. Mine is a ring which fits around the lens. With macro photography, it is good to have the light coming from the front on the object, rather than from above, which it would with the usual camera flash.

This is my Christmas cactus, oddly blooming again.

BNSF 9247 and 9252 lead a 180+ car Hibtac tac. load out of Kelly Lake, MN on the beautiful morning of Sept, 20, 2003. Should have spent more time along the Casco Sub. before they DPed all the ore trains and they turned all orange.

My favorite type of road. Deep in the northwoods and empty.

I had never been to FWF in the summer or with this little water. It still makes a good pic with low flow. Luckily, the swimmers that were enjoying the water hole are now just out of camera view eating lunch.

I normally don't get out waterfalling this time of year but the 70's and 80's we've had this week for hi temps just made it too tempting to get out.

My favorite pic from FWF below. It's taken just a few feet back from the pic above.

Well here it is. My clothesline. It's up behind my house, quite a walk actually, on top of the world. Not actually visible from the road and not very practical for its traditional purpose. It's a stage really and here it sits, graciously waiting like a blank canvas. Most of the time it isn't even noticed by anyone but me. :)
