Well that's a big fail. I started this project 1 year ago, and to my disappointment I found out my meager amount of 156 photos out of the total 365 that were to be taken. This really made me feel sad. I felt terrible. I started this project to bring the love and joy of Legos and photography together. My study life has kept me so busy because of my country's curriculum. It makes it so hard to come back after the day ends to take a picture and edit, with exams one after the other and continuous non stop homework. I'm sorry about that. So I'll be continuing this project until it finishes (asap) so we can end happily and start another great one. Thanks to you all for your continued support. You guys rock, and I still wouldn't be doing this if you weren't there to see my work. You came to see my work, and I shall deliver. No promise breaking this time. I promise. :-)
I was actually pretty happy with the crane, because I finally managed to get a good reach. It couldn't actually lift anything though.
Will be demolishing this in my coming weekend and start building something completely different.
On Sunday June 9th 2019, Waitrose closed the doors of its branch in Teignmouth for the last time after just 5 years of trading here. According to the area manager it was no longer sustainable.

Yep - I've been busy - too busy for volunteer stuff. BUT - I did keep up my 365. Even on July 31, I took a foot shot with old sheets. Yes, my creativity hasn't been in the picture for a long time. Even though many of my shots were just a "hold up the camera backwards" type, I still tried to put in a bit of my story in the background. This "fail" shot was a reject for another day so I was trying (a little).
I'm not a quitter so this does upset me. I think I missed because I got behind in posting. If you do it each day...you won't forget.
One of my many failed attempts at a snow spiral.
I've been making snow spirals every winter since 2010. I make them during the day, with the intention of using them as a template for light painting at night.
One of the main problems I've had is that they're hard to photograph from the ground, so I've been searching for a good cliff, hill, or elevated area to shoot from, but the place I live is pretty flat. There's a lot of sand and gravel pits around here, but not many you can easily access, so I was happy to find this one, which seems abandoned.
Another snow spiral problem I've had is unwanted footprints, because the best spirals I've made have to start from the center, so there's always a line of footprints that cut through the spiral.
This time I tried starting from the outside and working my way in, but there was a pile of sand that through me off, and my spiral quickly turned oval instead of round.
There wasn't enough snow either (sometimes I've had too much) under the snow was a layer of frozen snow that had previously been rained on, and the parts of the timelapse where I move slower are because I was kicking at the ice, trying to make a visible path.
To make things worse, I was too tired to go back that night to do the light painting, and the next day it got covered in snow.
I later realized that this area won't work for lining up the spiral with the north star, because you lose the high vantage point, since the path on the right is where you would need to set up, and that area has been dug out.
Trying to create something close to the original Viper from Gradius IV posted by bionicbadboi, I fail horribly for lack of parts. Maybe if I scrapped my SP3 Viper...

So I've been shopping parts for a little while hopping to make a Pixie minifig, but turns out the pink hairpiece and wings don't work together! Back to the drawing board... Fortunatly a second pink hairpiece is coming in the ultra agent sets
XBox 360 Repair: DAY 02
Just to clarify things, I have been complaining about Call Of Duty: World At War on the Nintendo Wii, not the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions which I understand are much, much better. Whilst I appreciate the technical challenge of porting a title such as this to the Wii, it won't get any sympathy from me.

Well, at least Target Diskmode saves the day for both of us. KIller feature for when things go wrong really. Guenter's computer can't boot the OS because the disk fails, but from Target Disk mode he can still get his data out. I can't boot my computer because the gfx fail, but with Target Disk mode I can boot the other mac from my harddrive and avoid losing a day of setup for a new computer.

Not entirely sure what happened here, but I failed with bad magic. When I rebooted, the message disappeared and booted properly.
A somewhat failed try. The flash was triggered when the pellet was in the middle of the lightbulb (theoretically).
When a centimetre isn't. The steel tape measure is correct.
The "Meet in China" (a pun on "Made in China", where "meet" is Dutch for "measure") is on permanent display on the Hack42 Wall of Fail.

A brilliant snow storm hit the north east United States yesterday (1/21/2014) and Butler NJ wasn't spared. 6 - 10 inches of the white stuff fell.
I hit the streets to test a Canon EOS Sx 35mm slr camera - a donation camera earmarked as a future Film Photography Project giveaway. The camera currently sports a Quantaray 28-80mm f3.5 EF lens. The autofocus on the lens is non functional but the lens works fine in manual focus mode.
Sadly, the Canon film take-up function isn't working properly - leaving no space between each exposure.
Anyone reading this ever have this problem with an EOS camera?

About time. I am sick of those little blue diamonds I keep seeing on news sites... meaning I can't see the video report. Adobe is taking the blame here saying the ball is in their court. But why does nearly every other smartphone platform have flash then? Simple. Apple is being a bitch and playing hard to get. What Apple are doing is screwing their customers. If this is "Less is more" then I'd rather just have more you blithering idiots.
