Trying to get back into portraiture, I did a photo shoot for a friend and had some luck shooting this young lady.
"Life is a Gift! Enjoy the rewarding delights of giving and receiving. Make someone happy today with a surprise gift & experience the joy within as you do so"
Today I received a very beautiful gift form an equally beautiful friend: The golden pendant you see me wearing here. I am going to call it my "Magick Faerie Pendant" because I feel a lot of faerie Magick sent with this.
Isnt it a fantastic feeling to receive a gift? Some people find it difficult to receive but really it shouldnt be and sometimes a simple "Thank You" is all you have to say for someone true kindness.
On my wrist is a replica of a bracelet that Edward bought Wallis Simpson (The Duke and Duchess of Windsor) and havent really worn it. It came from America and it is of a leopard and now feel that it is high time it was worn together with my beautiful gift that arrived today....OXO
Can you see him?
Actually it is a piece of wood, but when I saw him yesterday among the trees for a moment I thought there was a real faerie watching me. This part of the wood near Annen is very old, strange, a bit creepy, with ghosts and strange energies lingering.
The gardens on Holy Isle offered more than their fair share of surprises. There was every possibility there might have been Weeping Angels as well as fairies, so I made sure never to blink.
The Peatbog Faeries play The Old Fire Station, Carlisle, Cumbria
The Peatbog Faeries are a largely instrumental Celtic fusion band. Formed in 1991, they are based in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
Their music embodies many styles and influences, including folk, electronica, rock and jazz, - but their main influence is traditional celtic music. The band's unique sound is created through a mix of programmed effects and traditional celtic arrangements, played on bagpipes, fiddles, and whistles.
The band have twice won "Live Band of the Year" at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards and were nominated for "Live Band of the Year" at the BBC Radio 2 folk awards.
Hey, you know what would look more stunning? If my black hollyhocks had managed to reseed themselves behind the foxgloves last fall, so they'd bloom concurrently.
Plants: I am still figuring them out.

The wings kept drooping, so I fnally cut some painted timtex to fit the wings and stitched it to the wings. They turned out quite nice and look quite butterfly like!
I'm shipping her in the morning, to Lynn, and I can't wait for her to get her so I can do the big reveal! I'm only a month late with this!!!
