My first ink. I got it in the summer of 2003, at Skin Deep in Levittown, NY. She sleeps on my lower back. I love this tattoo, I have never regretted it in over 3 years, but I never want a needle on top of my spine again. Ouch.

I made this quilt top in one day (07/23/10) from my fabric stash. I'll be backing it this week to ship north as a birthday gift. It measures 49" x 49".

I call these the Faerie-dust petticoats. They comein Turquoise and Fuchsia. The tulle is covered in sparkly metallic dots.

Walking through some wooded trails revealed multiple swarms of gnats that look remarkably like tiny fairies! It took several dozen tries to land the focusing and timing right to soot this moving mass of dots.
Cochineal dyed silk velvet ribbon, beaded with glass beads 11/0 the painted and inked vintage seam binding.

That epic year of mushrooms began with us spotting this faerie ring of mushrooms on one of the main roads going through my town.
