To be misled by faeries, whether by light or night, or a subtle changing of landmarks and features by day, is described as being PIXIE-LED.

In Ireland this 'mis-leading' is attributed to a faerie fuft of grass or stray sod which when trodden on triggers a spell. Under its influence, a usual experience when trying to cross a field is to discover that an exit which may have been clearly visible on entering, has suddenly disappeared; and no amount of systematic searching of the surrounding hedges will reveal its whereabouts. In other cases a walker might abruptly find himself heading in a totally different direction to the way he wishes to go and no amount of re-alignment of his course seems to put this right.

I tend to hate textures, but took a liking to this for whatever reason.

From a walk with Soozy this afternoon...also from #Chicago...we don't have these back home. It seems a lot of woodland fairies lose their wings in these parts. ;-)

It was frosty and cold this morning and when the sun warmed the frost crystals it left all sorts of pretty things.

I think these little bright round things are faeries playing in the dew. Really what else would they be?

My cousin's wife Karen in her adorable faerie getup.

In a time where faeries still roamed the Earth, one man erected a trap to have a faerie of his very own. Unfortunately, this man had forgotten where he placed his trap, and the tightly bound rotted remains of the faerie are still present today.
