Like the Railton and Allard the Brough was a member of the Anglo-American club. Mating in this case American Hudson engines to a British built frame and coachwork. Built at the Brough motorcycle factory in Nottingham. After 1939 George Brough turned to precision engineering.
The Alpine Grand Sport was built on a shorter Hudson 6 chassis, with semi-ecliptic's up front, and hydraulic brakes. Power output measured 107bhp in standard form but with a Centric supercharger option a claimed 140bhp giving a potential 100mph. most cars were however dropheads

Die ehemalige DB-Diesellok 215 082-9 der in Wiehl beheimateten Aggerbahn GmbH mit einem Facns-Schotterwagenzug der Bahnbaugruppe sorgte für großes Aufsehen in Wiehl-Bielstein an der Wiehltalbahn.
Sehr werbewirksam mitten im Ort zwischen Supermarkt und Einkaufszone abgestellt, sorgte der Zug für reichlich Furore unter Anwohnern und Passanten.
Hintergrund der ungewöhnlichen Zugfahrten auf den Gleisen der Wiehltalbahn: Die Produktion des Kinofilms "Auerhaus".Dazu war in der vergangenen Woche ein mehr als 50-köpfiges Filmteam in Bielstein aufgeschlagen und hat auf dem Gleis der Wiehltalbahn in Bielstein gedreht. Die bekannten Schauspieler Max von der Groeben (bekannt aus „Fack ju Göhte“) und Damian Hardung („Club der roten Bänder“), zwei der Protagonisten, sind in einer dramatischen Szene zu sehen, in der eine oberbergische Diesellok eine zentrale Rolle spielt.
Bielstein ist einer von vielen Orten in Nordrhein-Westfalen und Hessen, in denen die Pantaleon Films GmbH in Kooperation mit Warner Brothers noch bis April den erfolgreichen Jugendroman „Auerhaus“ von Bov Bjerg verfilmt. Im Buch wie im Film geht’s um vier Jugendliche, die in der Provinz der 80er Jahre aufwachsen und eine spannungsgeladene Wohngemeinschaft gründen. Einer der Jungs ist des Lebens überdrüssig – und will sich vor einen Zug werfen.
The former DB diesel locomotive 215 082-9 of the based in Wiehl Aggerbahn GmbH with a Facns gravel coach train of the railway assembly caused a great sensation in Wiehl-Bielstein on the Wiehltalbahn.
Very attractively placed in the middle of the village between supermarket and shopping area, the train caused plenty of furor among residents and passers-by.
Background of the unusual train rides on the tracks of the Wiehltalbahn: The production of the movie "Auerhaus". For this was in the past week, a more than 50-member film team in Bielstein pitched and shot on the track of the Wiehltalbahn in Bielstein. The well-known actors Max von der Groeben (known from "Fack ju Göhte") and Damian Hardung ("Club der roten Bänder"), two of the protagonists, are to be seen in a dramatic scene in which an Oberbergische diesel locomotive plays a central role.
Bielstein is one of many places in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse, in which the Pantaleon Films GmbH in cooperation with Warner Brothers filmed until April the successful youth novel "Auerhaus" by Bov Bjerg. The book and the movie are all about four young people who are growing up in the province of the 80s and are starting a thriving residential community. One of the boys is tired of life - and wants to throw himself in front of a train.

1. My name is Michael "Boris Collage" Atallah (That's a Lebanese surname spelled in one of the many ways it is spelled) and my birthday is 11/27/79
2. My parents came to the USA back in 1969 out of Beirut, Lebanon - by oceanliner. On their route from Beirut to Naples they rode with the Beatles, though they didn't realize it until after the fact.
3. My late mother Rose was born in Lebanon (1937) but spent her childhood moving around from Mexico, Venezuela and finally Brasil. She grew up there. I have some of the most important people in my life in Brasil: namely my uncle Atala and my lunatic cousin João. He and I are pretty much brothers.
4. My dad (god rest his soul) was born in Lebanon (1929). When he was a kid he sold candy and cigarettes to the British and French merchant Marines holding the fort along the coast of Beirut. When he was 20 or 21 he took a chance and sailed to Brasil with 400$ in his pocket and a curiosity. Simple and strong man he was.
5. I have three older brothers. I grew up in Pasadena California with yearly visits to Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
6. I feel more at home in Rio. My heart lives in Rio 24/7. I am a nostalgic person, but I love the moment. Go figure!
7. My first musical love was Bossa Nova and Jazz. I worked as a busboy at a Japanese restaurant back in high school and one day decided to buy a ticket to Rio. I literally woke up in the morning and the song www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMX6E68qJAg was playing on my CD player alarm setting. I called the travel agent. It was my first time there without my mom, almost like I ran away from home (felt great: Korean Airlines- LAX to Sao Paulo and then a small Varig flight to Rio--> (I even got to smoke cigarettes on the plane. In the back with old Korean men. Loved it!). That trip opened my eyes. I have spent as long as 7 months in Rio at a time since then.

11. I DJed for 15 years. House music (this track is sick!). It was my first art and has opened so many doors::::: I am working in film now... slowly, but it's what I love. I owe it all to DJing, João, and all the characters that constitute my family, sheer madness.
12. I can't make up my mind weather or not to shave my beard. It's cold now in southern California.
13. I currently live in San Clemente, California. I used to live in San Francisco for college and DJing. After I graduated, not really after, but shortly after, I moved to Peru for like 6 months and then found myself back in Rio for a good 6 or 7 months.
14. I laugh in Grocery stores and waiting rooms: automatically.
15. I would like to visit Lebanon with my cousin, but I think we're going to move back up to San Francisco later on this year. Who knows!
16. I always wonder why people don't look up a whole lot. Ever just stand on the second floor of a shopping center or something of the sort, and look down on people? Nobody looks up!! except some random old guy with his hands folded politely behind his back.

Workers Memorial Day is held to remember the many workers who have died at work and to campaign for safer workplaces. Called by the Scottish Trade Union Congress, this ceremony in Glasgow was attended by trade unionists and bereaved families.
In attendance was FACK, Families Against Corporate Killings, a campaign group made up of bereaved families, who campaign for safer workplaces and justice for their relatives who died at work. www.fack.org.uk
Matthias Habich ("Der Untergang", "Der Vorleser") and Katja Riemann ("Fack ju Göhte", "Türkisch für Anfänger", "Rosenstraße") at the 65th Berlinale on 13 February 2015. The two German actors presented the film "The Misplaced World" ("Die abhandene Welt"), in which they incorporate the characters of father "Paul Kromberger" and daughter Sophie.
