10/05/20...Yes, on this day my title is so true...a day of keeping the books of immaterial matters...a trip to Costco...Home Depot...Lowes...the common thread...return lines out the Yazoo...having gone through the same misery days before, I actually chuckled out loud as I passed the frustrated and not happy...returning things like watermelons and pumpkins...Happy Facking Halloween. On the return...the weight of what I perceive to be an unavoidable truth crushed me...so I slept the afternoon away....which brings me to the Chipmunk.
I woke up around 6:00pm...the Sun was already at the Treeline...took the dogs out...fed them...then I parked myself at the desk...hoping for something to photograph...and there were the Squirrels and Chipmunks having a late evening meal. I got a total of 5 clicks off before Hobbes and Grace came to the Door and scared them away. This was my last shot.

Jag älskar dessa gamla resväskor trots att de sannolikt aldrig kommer resa mer. Jag är särskilt förtjust i den stora kofferten som är inredd som en garderob klädd med gult mjukt tyg. Där kan man hänga sina kostymer och lägga sina skjortor, stumpor och skor i egna fack. Som liten flicka var det så spännande att öppna den stora kofferten och hitta spännande presenter från fjärran länder.
Jag kommer sannolikt aldrig göra mej av med dem.
As a film photographer, my father traveled the world.
I love his old suitcases even though they will probably never travel again. I am particularly fond of the large suitcase or trunk which is like a wardrobe covered inside with yellow soft fabric. There you can hang up your costumes and put your shirts, socks and shoes in their own compartments. As a little girl, it was so exciting to open the big trunk and find exciting gifts from distant countries.
I guess I will keep them forever.

The photo was taken around 1918 and shows the first milk lorry that belonged to Valkebo co-operative dairy. The drivers name is Erik Fack and the label of the car is International. According to kulturarv-vikingstad.com the car was equipped with a compartment to begin with, but that later fell of as a result of ditch driving.
The Valkebo co-operative dairy was built in 1904 and ceased their production the 1st of May, 1948. In 1934 a school of the arts of dairy was founded. I was born in 1984 and by then the building had turned into two apartments and a big industrial part. I grew up in a boundary country of cow pens and a industrial area.

Donde mi alma descansa en paz
Casualmente, ayer no me estuve sintiendo muy bien. Vomité y pasé el resto de la tarde y la noche descansando y reposando, para hoy estar con las energías recargadas para continuar con mi rutina de trabajo y de vida. Mientras iba de camino a casa pensé en la casualidad de que la foto que se supone subiría ayer hablaba de qué considero necesito para sentirme mejor conmigo mismo. Desafortunadamente el tipo de reposo o descanso del que habla la foto, no era el que neceistaba, yo necesitaba tomar líquidos, y dormir un buen rato.
En tanto, la foto habla de otro tipo de descanso, expresa otro tipo de situación en la que requiero estar en medio de un ecosistema en específico para relajarme y apartarme lo suficiente de mi vida cotidiana, de modo que una parte de mí se siente aliviada y regenerada.
Muchas veces he mencionado lo bien que me siento cuando me encuentro en un bosque, cerca de un río o explorando una selva. Es una sensación en la que no puedo dejar de observar, de generar preguntas, de absorver todas esas sensaciones que definitivamente no puedo tomar en medio de la ciudad. Las texturas de las rocas, las hojas y flores de las tantas plantas que veo, lo relajante que es estar sentado en un río, y fotografiar mientras hago eso es una experiencia inmensamente ratificante.
Este concepto surgió de lo imprevisto, de hecho fue una mezcla de mi fascinación por los colores de la pared donde estábamos, y de las ideas que tuvo uno de los modelos/asistentes del día, René (que de hecho es el novio de la modelo en esta foto). Les comenté que me llamaba la atención como estaba segmentado el suelo en la pared, y hablando un poco, decidimos hacer algo allí. Éste es el resultado de eso, y aunque no fue algo planeado, sentí que este concepto iba de la mano con lo que me estaba haciendo pensar este lugar.
Where my soul rest in peace
Coincidentally, yesterday I was not feeling very well. I threw up and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening lounging and resting for today be recharged with energy to continue my routine of work and life. As I was on my way home I thought about the chance that the photo I was supose to upload yesterday and the fack that about what I needed to feel better about myself.
Unfortunately the type of rest or break the speaker's photo, which was not neceistaba, I needed to take liquids, and sleep a while.
Meanwhile, the picture speaks of another kind of rest, expresses other situation where I require being in the middle of an ecosystem to relax and move away enough of my daily life, so that a part of me is relieved and regenerated.
I have often mentioned how good I feel when I am in a forest, near a river or exploring a jungle. It is a sense in which I can not but observe, to generate questions, to absorb all those feelings that I definitely can not take in the middle of the city. The textures of rocks, leaves and flowers of many plants I see how relaxing it is to sit in a river, and shoot while I do that is an immensely ratifying experience.
This concept came from the unexpected, in fact it was a mixture of my fascination with the colors of the wall where we were, and ideas that had one of the models / assistant of the day, René (which is actually the boyfriend of the model in this photo). I told them that the wall caught my attention because it was segmented by colors, and talking a bit, we decided to do something there.
This is the result of that, and although it was not planned, I felt that this concept went hand in hand with what I was doing I thought this place.
