I just finished her faceup. And, just for fun, I posed her similarly to the promo photo that Fairyland put up, way back when they had first introduced the Chicline doll-line. It's the photo that made me want to get the Ruru event head/faceplat, together with the Chicline small-bust body.
I hadn't actually planned to get her in WS, but in NS. It just never worked out for me to find both faceplate and body at the same time in NS. Then, I found them both in WS, and decided to give the white resin a try.
I like how she turned out... I'm no expert at faceups, and still work with pastels and pencils, but this works for me.
Don't know her name yet... She's still an experimental dollie.
And, I just can't get over how delicate she is! :0

Feels good :) I have finally activated my lovely Elfdoll Rita head. 12 mm eyes from Mako fits her very well! She will be a hybrid, elfdoll head and Granado nuevo body. I actually bought my nyid just for this Elfdoll head, but I don't want to mod the neck or head so much that this combination require.
Finished the faceup on my SQ lab head! It was fun to do! It's not perfect but I'm happy with the result!
And her faceup is done! I think she looks lovely:) Do you?
So happy with how she turned out and now cant wait to get her.

She is such a gorgeous mold, and doing a face-up on french resin was just love <3
It's so much smoother in some ways, it looks softer. So cool ^^
She has a bit of smokey eyes ans cherry lips
Funny how a doll can have so much expression with the right eyes and face. :) Got a stash of Nomyens lashes in the mail, I'm so thrilled with them! Went with heavy blushing and freckles this time to make her look healthy sun-kissed. Also, hurray for golden eyelashes and sparkly lips!
She is a bit like one Ante that I did a little while back. Especially because I used the same colour wig and the same coat for the photos haha.
But I used different colours for lips and blush. And her eyebrows are somewhat different in shape as well. But the overall look remains the same :P
Anyway, she was fun to work on again, even though it feels like repeating when you get the same instructions for the same sculpts ;)
But she remains as cute as a button, haha.
I’ve been working on commissions but I’ve wiped one of them twice and another once. Everything I was doing was getting blotchy or weird and I finally took a break and decided to do some practice on Päivä’s head. It took a couple try’s to get something I felt was solid but my hand isn’t shaking anymore and I feel a heck of a lot more relaxed and confident again!
I guess it’s just been so long since I’ve done faceups that I was feeling a little nervous and it was definitely affecting my work. Glad that’s over!
She might be getting some sparse freckles and I’m going to put in eyelashes but I wanted to get back to commissions so this is it for now!

Redid the twins' faceups today since they were getting a bit grubby. I think I still managed to keep their identities with the new looks?

This is my Andromeda's human faceplate, it was originally a human sleeping face, the previous owner modded the eyes open. ^.^
I'm in love with her new look, I wanted her to look as natural as possible. Who ever said that you can't make Fairyland dolls look realistic? :)
