I'm still not sure of his character or this faceup. My first try at freckles, but they are more like moles 'cause they're so dark. Faceup number 7.
I'm not too pleased with his eyebrows but it was fun to work on a bigger head and on white skin.
He could do with a bit bolder contouring and maybe different colors (something besides brown :D).
I'll wipe him and do his face over before I get his body. And no eyes because the 12mm eyecos are too big for him- I'll order 10mms later.
Can't wait for the body so he'll stay upright with no aides.
This is a Miriyu Souldoll kid.
I gave her a fresh face-up. The owner wanted it to look like the default face-up seen at the souldoll website. When she ordered her Miriyu she looked nothing like the girl on the website, and she was a bit disappointed. I tried to come as close to the face-up as possible :)

Comparison pic.
Different lighting, eyelashes, wig and eyes though. But it was about the face-up ^^
Another face-up and this time on a Volks Irvin.
Volks has such nice and big heads to paint on :3 (hihi)
It was fun to work on this guy. I loved working on him. He has such a nice skintone colour. So warm <3
I inspected her faceup and noticed that it has two scratches. The first one is tiny uneven line (about 1mm length) next to the left eyebrow, nearly invisible in the photo. It is only visible under certain angle. The second one has a round shape and is and is between the eyebrow and eye. I am not sure if it is a scratch or just a drop of sealant or glue. It shines in the certain angle (like in the photo), and in the different angle it looks darker than the space around it.
The doll came without face protector, just with a plastic bag on her head, so it is likely that the faceup was damaged during shipping
I am not sure what should I do :(
This is the general direction I'd like to head in for Pumpkin and her new brother. Not a direct copy, but as the inspiration for their new faceups. I'd like them to be freckled and with a "colourful, healthy, country kids glow", with the brother having heavier eyebrows and an eye shape like Gurerrin's.
1. merida collage, 2. and with this, I am officially done with his faceup ...
I redid the face-up on this N-doll Miso girl.
A soft pinkish face-up. This sculpt has such a sweet expression :)
This 1983 Great Shape Barbie came to me in the roughest shape! I got her forever ago and only went as far as brushing out her nightmare hair in 2015.
This year: I didn't want to repaint her, but the damage to her original face was just too much to leave. Luckily I love the new faceup!
Her hair looks great in a photo, but in person looks terrible and has a tacky texture. I think she is due for a reroot.
Faceup I did for my gf's Ringdoll K. She wanted him to look tired, but not too angry.
I really like this mold and especially his nose!
These are both artist sculpts made by FreakStyleBJD, with whom I had the honour of working.
They are both tan skinned BJDs, one is dark and the other a bit lighter than NS.

First faceup for my lovely J (Drayton)! I'll need to redo one day for the eyebrows which was a tad misaligned. OTL
I just ♥ this boy!

This was a funny mold to face-up, and also a bit difficult because of her mouth shape.
She has something like an Asian look if you look at the way her eyes turned out. It must be their shape. She would look great as an Asian girl with black pigtails as well no doubt, haha
I'm working on both Rose (Feeple60 Rona) and O'Carollan (Delf Breakaway 2008).
Rose is actually almost done, though it is hard to tell here. The photo has washed out a lot of the colour on her face. She just needs gloss and pearlizer.
O'Carollan just got started on today. I grabbed him, on a whim. He's been waiting for a faceup for months now, so I sprayed him and did his eyebrows. When that was going well, I added a bit of shading to his lips, inner eye rims and around eyes/lids. Then, I sprayed him to seal.
I had to step away though, 'cause I'm tired and hungry, and paranoid that I'll screw them both up, if I go any further today. :P
