De laatste weken zijn een beetje off-goederentreinen spotten. Dat komt een beetje door het werk en de vele grijze dagen, waardoor ik minder op pad kan. Toch probeer ik zo nu en dan een kwartiertje te vertoeven op een van de stationnetjes aan de Nevenlijnen.
Vrijdag 18 december 2020 was het een rustig dagje en kon ik mijn roes uitslapen. Het was echter mooi weer en dat zou jammer zijn als ik daar niets mee deed. Daarom ben ik in de middag naar Lochem gereden om het een en ander aan 'saai' materieel te fotograferen.
Maar eens komt er een dag dat dit plaatje uniek wordt. Plannen zijn er om de lijn Zutphen - Hengelo te elektrificeren en daar ook het dieselmaterieel te vervangen.
Een rode Volkswagen Polo stal de show op de parkeerplaats en was dus duidelijk de eyecatcher voor een ideale foto met trein. Ff wachten en jahoor het blauwe boemeltje komt er al aan. De 36 maakt deze middag de honeurs waar voor de stoptrein Oldenzaal - Zutphen. Hier vertrekt het stel om 14:39 uur richting Zutphen.
Met de vanuit het zuidwesten oprukkende sluierbewolking stond het plan voor woensdag 19 februari 2025 vast: zoveel mogelijk in het oosten blijven. Deze dag reed HSL met haar ArcticRider Euro9000 een trein via de Betuweroute en Deventer naar Bad Bentheim. Vanwege de gunstige dienstregeling met een aantal stopjes onderweg kon de trein makkelijk worden ingehaald zonder gekke fratsen op de weg. Nadat we de trein in Salzbergen voor de laatste keer konden vastleggen, werd teruggereden richting Nederland.
Rail Force One (RFO) zou aan het eind van deze smakelijke dag voor het toetje zorgen door met de 1828 in Bad Bentheim een fraaie ketelwagentrein, aangebracht door het Poolse Lotos, over te nemen. De 1828 en de 1830 zijn de twee eyecatchers in het Nez Cassé-lokkenpark van RFO en deze leg ik dan ook met veel plezier vast. Met aan de haak een bonte set ketelwagens ten behoeve van het vervoer van methanol kon de trein kort voor het oprukken van de sluierbewolking worden vastgelegd in Deurningen.
Reflectorpaaltjes zijn digitaal verwijderd.

Zoals elk jaar heeft strandpaviljoen Zeezicht weer wat beschilderde etalagepoppen op dak gezet. Het zijn fotogenieke eyecatchers. Instagrammable vermoed ik. Te vinden ten noorden van de Pier op Scheveningen.

A wonderful eyecatcher in front of one of our northern windows is this undemanding ornamental shrub.
Enmig del espectacular Cercle de Gavarnia en destaca el seu gran salt d'aigua. Amb 425 m. d'alçada, està considerada la més alta d'Europa, tot i que a Noruega n'hi ha altres pretendents a aquest titol.

The main eyecatcher in the large bowl-shaped Cirque de Gavarnie is it's largest waterfall. Being 425 m. hight, it's considered the highest in Europe, and for sure in France. There are other claims about highter faterfalls in Norway, though.

Barrington Park is a large early 18th century Palladian-style country house between the Cotswold villages of Great Barrington and Little Barrington, Gloucestershire. As was fashionable in those days, its extensive parkland contains several follies, including this dovecote.
Despite the misty day that we had yesterday it was nice to see these rhododendrons in full bloom ... a definite eye-catcher and the only "sunshine" that I saw!!

This is my first go at eye photography, although I've been meaning to try it for a long time. Today's Smile on Saturday theme was a great excuse to make it happen.
I must thank my beautiful friend Giselle for her patience during our shoot (lots of photos!). She also brought a bunch of scarves and we had fun trying out different colours against her eyes, which are a grey-green colour but change depending on the light and what she's wearing.
I've deliberately processed this a little darker to bring out those gorgeous eyes.
This is another photo taken in the greenhouses of our zoo and botanical garden. I love the vibrant autumn colours of the Japanese Maple and it was a true eyecatcher among the green of the other plants.

Die Kontur wurde mit flourizierende Windowcolour aufgetragen.
So entstand bei Nachfahrten ,oder auch tagsüber bei durchfahren einer Unterführung ein interessantes Farbspiel !
