From the seventeenth century the Tile acquired importance attached to external animation. The freshness of the ceramic surface and polychrome glazed, served the artificiality of the baroque style, accentuates their application structures and creates false perspectives, fictional intentions. It created large sets or programs based on the exclusive application of tiles. Tiles of The Channel Queluz National Palace is one of the most notable examples of this use.
A length of 110 meters, the interior walls of the Channel, as well as support the arch and stairs to the river are lined with panels of blue and white tiles, executed by John Doe and paid in 1756. Manuel da Costa Rosado also painted tiles for the Channel in 1775 and 1776.
When the gates were closed and the channel is filled with water, this was at a level that the scenes could be seen by boat, in a series of palaces, harbors, ancient ruins, gardens with their fountains, ponds, swans, courtiers, fishermen and farmers.
In the center of the channel and on a vaulted archway, stood formerly the Lake House, a "cool house" decorated in the chinoiserie style of the period, was also called Chinese House or House of Music, where the musicians played chamber the Queen.
At the sound of music, the circulation in small vessels was a form of recreation of the royal family and their guests, the evening along the canal, torches were lit in the form of cornucopias and gilded.
Today this site lie two magnificent sculptural groups representing Cheere John Bacchus and Ariadne and Venus and Adonis, once placed in the capstone of the rooms of the Princess Mary Frances Benedicta, opening onto the garden Malta (between 1763 and 1890).
The outside of the Canal is lined with colored tiles, with representation of gallant and courtly scenes and themes of hunting. In 1900, by order of King Carlos and Queen Amelia, it was the restoration of all this tile flooring, written by Pereira Dog (Jose Maria Pereira Junior) and Carlos Alberto Nunes and signed and dated the new panels.
It was then built in the central channel, a standard greeting, bearing the arms of Orleans. Also at this time were placed along the Canal earthenware vases blue and white replicas of the originals of the Mouse Factory, Garden in the present cabinet.

Any church which has been around in one form or another for 1300 years is likely to have undergone many changes, inside and out. I was expecting the kind of list of vicars you get in churches dating from the Norman conquest - the de's etc, which lasted for 350 years, and I had puzzled over the architecture of the outside loos on a previous visit. On this walkaround it occurs to me that the exoskeleton of the wooden building is based (maybe) on the flying buttresses you can see at many churches.
What came as a surprise was a notice on the table in the church banning the use of drones on church lands!
When I go again I shall look for the 'Coventry Piece' in the graveyard which Wikipedia says contains the bodies of Black Death victims from Coventry, and is still 'not to be disturbed'. Wikipedia also says a citation is needed for this piece of information so it may may eventually prove apocryphal, I guess.

I bought two. Plus a little compass ball from the scrapyard. Found a screwdriver on the road outside where I parked.
Point Cook is a rapidly developing residential area, located in the south-east of the City of Wyndham. Point Cook is bounded by the Princes Freeway, Crellin Avenue South, St Anthony Court, Machair Drive, Dunnings Road, Point Cook Road, Tournament Drive, Fawkner Way and Crystal Court in the north, Skeleton Creek and Port Phillip Bay in the east, the northern boundary of the RAAF Williams Point Cook Base, Aviation Road and Duncans Road in the south and the Princes Freeway in the west.
The Point Cook small area includes parts of the suburbs of Point Cook, Werribee and Werribee South. The Point Cook small area excludes the Point Cook RAAF base, which has been included in the Werribee South small area. Point Cook is named after John M Cooke, mate of His Majesty's Vessel "Rattlesnake”, which charted part of Port Phillip Bay in 1836.
Settlement of the area dates from the late 1840s, with land used mainly for farming and grazing, and later for saltworks. Significant development did not occur until the 1990s. The population grew rapidly from the mid 1990s, rising from less than 200 in 1996 to over 14,000 in 2006. The population increased seven-fold between 2001 and 2006, particularly south and west of Seabrook and in the Sanctuary Lakes development. Population growth is expected to continued, as further housing is developed.
Major features of area include Cheetham Wetlands, Point Cook Coastal Park and Homestead, Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club, Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre, Point Cook Town Centre, Werribee Agriculture & Food Technology Precinct and numerous schools.

As far as I could find out, Nikon do not make a DC adapter for their cameras, so I decided to take it upon myself to create one, I am far from a skilled electrician, but I thought I would give it a crack….. whats the worst that could happen…… I blow up my camera….. hmmm!
The idea was to create a power source and intervalometer in one weather proof unit for long exposures and time lapses that would be too draining on a standard battery or grip. It can be run from any 12 or 24v source depending on how much weight you want to lug around with you.
I didnt find it to hard to source the parts, I did have to order some items off ebay only to chop off the nikon plug as soon as I took it out of the package. It was quite fiddly to solder it all together, but only because I wanted to keep the overall size to a minimum.
The power source consists of to DC voltage regulators, one to supply the camera through its DC adapter port, and the other to supply the intervalometer, although this could last for over a week on 2xAAA batteries, at least now I dont have to remember to charge them aswell.
Total cost would have been around the $150 mark with the intervalometer and battery and sacrificial items being the most expensive parts
The intervalometer is removable and can be used with the camera on smaller less demanding projects. and I intend to add in provisions for other accessories in the future, such as a dew heater for the foggy nights.
Since I am far from a skilled electrician, and I could not find any information on the web about creating one of these….. I have no doubt done something wrong here, but so far it works and I havent let any smoke out of the camera. Having said that, if you know more about this stuff and I have missed or over looked something I would appreciate the input.
I think the next project is going to be to see if I can conceal a gps locating device somewhere in the camera, so I can have some peace of mind about leaving the camera unattended for long periods of time

The Wessex was a turbine-powered development of the American Sikorsky S58. The initial production version was for the Royal Navy but in the early 1960s the RAF required a powerful general-purpose helicopter capable of troop-carrying, air ambulance and ground attack roles. Westland responded with the Wessex HC2 which first entered RAF service with No.18 Squadron, based at RAF Odiham, Hampshire, in January 1964.
Four years later Westland Helicopters received an order for two Wessex aircraft to equip The Queen's Flight. These were designated HCC4. The aircraft were built to HC2 standard but with the main cabin having a VIP interior finish, furnishings and sound proofing plus an external folding step below the cabin door. Additional Decca navigation equipment was installed on the flight deck. The first flight took place on 17 March 1969. The first official flight was on 1 July 1969 in support of the Investiture of the Prince of Wales at Caernarfon Castle, Wales. The helicopters in their distinctive red/dark blue paint scheme operated for many years from RAF Benson. From 31 March 1995 they moved to RAF Northolt and became part of No.32 (The Royal) Squadron.
The Wessex HCC4 was retired in 1998.

The finger to the right is pointing to the external siphon, as you can easily tell the internal siphon beside the water spurting out beside the larger exernal siphon. . The photo with the external siphon is spurting water is very rare to capture (my first) and the water shot up almost 24". Very interesting to me. Best seen on larger sizes.

external Fontan: Oxygen-poor blood coming back from the bottom half of the body is diverted directly into the lungs with an external conduit instead of flowing back into the heart before going to the lungs.
