At 7.15am on Tuesday 2 November 2010, police were called to the Silver Street area of Irlam following reports of an explosion.
Officers attended and discovered that at least three houses have been damaged.
Silver Street, Merlin Road, Morillion Road, Cutnook Lane and a number of other routes in the area are closed off while police and the other emergency services work at the scene.

A house was decimated by a natural gas explosion last week in Los Altos. Miraculously a father and two young children survived the blast with minor injuries.
House Gas Explosion
This once beautiful house suffered a gas explosion tonight at around 9:50pm. There was a young couple and their baby inside at the time. They escaped and were taken to the hospital.
the explosion happened just minutes before 6pm.
at first i heard rumbling sounds and felt the ground shaking- i gave it no thoughts and figured it was the a/c. but was i wrong. a few minutes past 6 my building gave the evacuation order. as i walked out the elevator i saw people running outside my building in the uptown direction. it felt like watching 9-11 all over again but this time not on the tv.
i got out, looked to my right and saw the smoke. my immediate thoughts were: "terrorist attack?" "is a building about to collapse?" luckily it was neither. but at the time everyone was in a state of confusion as we were ordered to head uptown by the police. so i headed uptown but took long pauses to glance back in between each step. part of me wanted to witness it, and part of me wanted nothing to do with it.
like many around me, i took some pictures. i felt like a paparazzi or a self proclaimed "photo-journalist". a fake, essentially. but i didn't want to miss it, so i caved and took some shots, even a short video. i tried calling a few friends around the neighborhood, lukily most were home or away from the area. sadly, the thing that was going through my mind during this whole ordeal was, "i have so much work left!" and "did i just left my laptop running in my office??". if that doesn't spell workaholic, what will?

Fisher House Explosion
The remains of the William Fisher House that exploded. Mr. Fisher Died in the explosion. The explosion could be heard as far away as Science Hill. The home was located on North Main Street in Somerset KY

Dos explosiones ocurrieron cerca de la línea de meta del Maratón de Boston en la calle Boylston, se habla de la muerte de dos personas y al menos 22 heridos, de acuerdo a la policía de Boston.
Otros explosivo fue desactivado y otro hizo explosión en la Biblioteca de la ciudad, los heridos están siendo atendidos en el Hospital General de Massachusetts y el Tufts Medical Center.
Las explosiones ocurrieron aproximadamente a las 2:45 ET (1:45 CT), más de dos horas después de la llegada de los ganadores, 27,000 corredores estarían participando.
La carrera fue detenida así como el servicio del metro en la zona, las tropas de la Guardia Nacional de Massachusetts están ayudando a la policía...

As the amount of daylight goes down every day, trees are under stress ; they stopped producing chlorophyll, the geen pigment at the heart of photosynthesis. Without chlorphyll, we start to see other pigments present in the leaves : red, orange, yellow ... It's the last explosion of colours.
It's the time of the year i don't like : days are getting shorter, it's getting cold, no more colours, less sunshine and more rainy days ... I wish I could jump straight away into January and avoid all the Xmas things ...

A cette periode de l'année, les arbres sont stressés a cause du manque de lumiere ; ils stoppent la production de chlorophylle, la molecule donnant la couleur verte aux feuilles. En l'absence de chlorophylles, on commence a voir d'autres pigments de couleur jaune, orange voir meme rouge ...
C'est la derniere explosiion de couleurs avant de basculer dans un monde gris et monotone.
Je n'aime pas cette periode : les jours racourcissent, il va bientot faire nuit en milieu d'apres midi ; les jours ensoleilles von ceder leur place a des jours gris, pluvieux ... j'aimerais pouvoir sauter directement en Janvier (et eviter Noel).
