At the end of the Fraser Valley, the highway splits into two main routes north. These days, most people take the Coquihalla, but in days past Highway 1 through the Fraser Canyon was the main route into Central and Northern British Columbia.
This canyon road still forms part of the Coast Mountain Circle Route, and if you’re looking for a road less travelled – which as Robert Frost advised is what makes “all the difference” – may we suggest you go against the grain and take the canyon route. www.hellobc.com/stories/the-road-less-travelled-bcs-frase...
(It did make all the difference)

Great Horned Owlet -taken this evening in North Saanich.
There is a family of 4 and we managed to view the three owlets - a lot of fun listening to them and seeing them move from tree to tree with each other. Kept us hopping!

It was a very special once a year experience to get to spend an afternoon wandering the beaches, forest boardwalks and the extensive gardens of this 25-acre jewel.
The beaches are virtually untouched and carry the raw beauty that is placed there by the ocean and its currents.

A couple paddles their canoe on Vaseux lake, near Oliver. MacIntyre bluff sits in the background. This Audust has been hot in the Okanagan valley, the morning and the evening are prime time for activity, and great light.
McIntye bluff shot from the not so common side, this south Okanagan landmark is beautiful from both sides.

Went to the sea to sky gondola this weekend. Was not disappointed to say the least.

A couple hour hike through some deep snow for this shot. Totally worth it though, who would know that this is in Vancouver?!
