Beautiful waterfall in the heart of Ladysmith. Holland creek is just a few minutes walk from my house and it’s a perfect place go for a walk with the family or for the more adventurous you can complete the 8km loop that follows this meandering creek through the forest. The loop is rather gruelling with a few hundred stairs to contend with but the scenery is well worth the effort!
As day turns to night, the lights turn on in Vancouver, illuminating the monster cloud above and reflecting off English Bay. Captured yestereve at the Spanish Banks, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada ~ October 11, 2017 🏦☁

The Alouette River has a significant place in the cultural heritage of the area. The #Katzie First Nation have historically depended on the salmon of the river and have maintained spiritual, cultural and economic ties to the river. The valley was part of a travel corridor for First Nations people between the Lower Fraser River area and the Lillooet area.

Stephan's Quintet, as its name implies, is a group of five faint galaxies. Top right NGC 7331 is a spiral galaxy at a distance of 49 million light-years from Earth.
Taken in my backyard there were numerous cloud bands that came thru which did ruin a few of the exposures, but I was lucky and able to recover sufficient data.

This falls is an ever changing waterfall, depending on where you are standing along with the quickly changing light.
This is from the very bottom of the falls looking straight up - still a little bit of mist to take care of on the lens to capture the image :)

Winter bliss found on a mountain top on the usually green island.
For us here on the the island we have to travel to higher elevations to find snow.
This beautiful little lake tucked alongside the Alberni Highway was so peaceful.
