It's that time of year when the spiders come indoors. These days, being nocturnal hunters, will probably startle you but quickly scatter away.

This guy was on the smaller size of the ones I've seen though. He was just chilling on the wall outside.

They are great for keeping insects at bay!

Not to confuse them with Hobo Spiders which are smaller though it seems more and more things I read about Hobo Spiders, they probably only bite you either.
