My little granddaughter, Rosie May, dutifully modelling for me at our belated Thanksgiving day meal on Sunday. (Everyone comes to dinner with a pop-up backdrop, pair of SB-600s, PowerSnoots and a range of lenses, right? That's perfectly normal. So why don't my family believe me?)
Thought I'd never have another shot in Explore. This squeaked in for November 27th. Highest position - 244.

This is an old photo from 2006. Four families including us went to visit the Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA. My son, still small at that time, was exploring the Morning Glory Pool, a natural hot spring. Bacteria live in the water, which gives the pool its distinct colors.
I took this photo with a point and shoot Sony camera. I now HDR-processed it to give it a smooth look while enhancing the micro-contrast. The colors are pretty accurate, that is, no change in color saturation compared to the original.

Opening reception this Saturday for the 9th Annual Fine Art of Photography Competition/Exhibit in Plymouth, Center for the Arts. My print 'Planetary explorers' was accepted into the show. (Fun fact: This is a straight photograph, taken in September last year during the fogxflo installation in the Back Bay Fens.)
The fenced area has expanded to almost four times the pevious size, they have gotten things to explore and are starting to realize that the world isn't flat.

Experimenting with flashes and in this case, patience. Unlike the water droplets where droplets were constantly falling, this photo required me to drop the olive with my hand.
