Besides the really cool Disney topiaries at the The Flower and Garden Festival, the other thing I always look forward to is the sand sculpture. For the three years, I’ve gone to the Festival, the sculpture has related to Disney Nature films. When I was at Epcot in March for the opening day, they had just started working on this, so it was great to be able to go back and see the finished piece.

This 365 Copy Cat has been inspired by my dear friend Stop The Day.

Stop The Day's Photography and Graphic Design (<--please click) is in a ranking all it's own. He knows what he's doing and he excels at it. Every photo edit and design of his is flawless. He brings something unique and different to Flickr and our world. I appreciate him so much because everything he does is HIM being HIM.

This took me 2.5 hours to edit. I'm still learning :D

Downtown Raleigh. It's "boil your flesh off" steamy hot outside right now so I thought I'd look back at what I shot in December! I love how Fayetteville St. comes alive downtown with all the lights and buzzing activity.

Today a lot of these Painted Ladies visited the Erysimum Bowles's Mauve Perennial Wallflower in my garden.

Vanessa cardui is a well-known colorful butterfly, known as the painted lady, or in North America as the cosmopolitan. This butterfly has a strange pattern of flying in a sort of screw shape.
