I took these using a filter to try and age the image or make it appear creamier. I took each picture with and without a filter to see the differences.
After all that, I only now realize I grabbed the wrong glass
Moody Experiment.
Some photos from a place you might already recognize, as there're many photos of it here. This time I tried to make something different out of the familiar views. After all, this is a landscape that probably is not scenic this time of the year. At least not for me, not in the usual sense. But of course there's a certain mood -- which might be something that comes out of myself, but I'm sure not without some stimulus, outside, it is really there, somehow. Can it be pictured? Can it be conveyed? How can you depict the actual first impression?
On a technical note: All done with old 50mm f/1.7 lens, all wide open, I used a Kenko nostaltone blue for diffusion and color shift. „Enhanced" in LR & PS.
The closer you get, the more textures you find!
Santa brought me a new camera for Christmas - thanks Santa!
This series is drawn from my first shoot with her.
Macro of course. Deliberately over-exposed for effect and with very minimal processing.

This was the first in Kristin Prather's series of Science and Math Workshops. They are for Intermediate School students to learn basic math and science concepts through FUN activities and demonstrations. They will get to make rockets, search the stars, and test mind-boggling physics theories. Let's not forget playing math games!
March 15 (Science) : 3-6 PM
March 29 (Math) : 12-3 PM
April 26 (Science) : 12-3 PM
May 3 (Math) : 12-3 PM

I hope everyone agrees that there’s nothing worse that badly cooked bacon. We’ve all been served bacon that’s been so overcooked that you’re afraid you’re going to chip a tooth because it’s too well done. Or worse, bacon prepared where the fat wasn’t properly rendered and it feels like you’re biting into butter or worse when you chew on the bacon.
Normally, I put the bacon on cookie cooling racks on an aluminum foil lined baking pan and bake the bacon. This allows me to sprinkle with brown sugar, cracked black pepper, or other spices and even jalapeños before baking.
However, sometimes when you just want a couple of slices, it’s not worth the effort or heating up the kitchen by firing up the oven. I came across this method the other day on the internets and gave it a try in one of my carbon steel pans.
In a cold pan, lay out your bacon. Barely cover the bacon with water. Bring to a full boil on high and turn down to a medium. Let the water evaporate away and continue to cook until it’s to your liking.
I flipped the bacon a couple of times during the boiling process. I found this jacuzzi method kept the bacon from curling, so I didn’t have to use a bacon press.
The bacon turned out remarkably well. It wasn’t over crisp and was pleasant to chew. It wasn’t as good as baked bacon, but the next time I just need a few slices, I will definitely use this method.
I went to Bic Camera today... I stopped at camera lens section, and was playing around with
" Tamron SP AF90mm F/2.8 Di 1:1 Macro Lens" for about 20minutes or longer...
Review on Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Lens
AND...
that seriously made me want to buy that lens... BUT that was not my original intension to go to the store today.... I decided to come home and think about it little more...
Thinking of macro lens made me want to take a shot like this...
Although this is taken with my Canon 50mm Lens...
This is part of a roll of film I had forgotten in my Nikon Nuvis camera years ago. I finished shooting it and was surprised at what was in it.
I like the lighting in this photo because that's just how it came out. No flash but the roll was 400 (whatever that's called).

Expérimentation macro au 500 à miroir à main levée. Recherche de flou de couleurs et de composition.
A little experiment in Photoshop.
A comment about the (poor I believe) realization would be greatly appreciated :)
