BASS CLEF EXPERIMENT performing at Spanish Village Art Center in our colorful courtyard.
Spanish Village Art Center - Balboa Park
LIVE PERFORMANCE OCT 31, 2010
11a to 4p
I filmed this ages ago after downloading magic lantern for my 500D. Had some cleaning to do so just filmed it for a laugh. Finally had some time to edit and wanted to play with new software and this is what I came up with. The main thing I've learned is I needed far more footage than I had so each shot is not too long.
I took these using a filter to try and age the image or make it appear creamier. I took each picture with and without a filter to see the differences.
After all that, I only now realize I grabbed the wrong glass

I was experimenting with my camera and it took a whole bunch of pictures (at least one per second) and put them all like that. Too bad it came out blurry...
'Pixel Bender' -experiment with Newton Fractal for roots of (z-a)(z-b)(z-c)
Typical example of player around with some code and randomly changing the values:
In this case I used function like z(n+1) =z(n) -f(z)/f'(z) + 0.499 +0.499i, the curvy, groovy, hippy'n'trippy contours are because of the constant addition

(by Rodrigo Benatti and Raquel Couto)
anna sui swan tunic, american apparel leggings, f21 military anorak, co-op otk boots, thrifted cross necklace, men's timex chronograph.
This is an experiment with different brushes to explore the idea of patterns and fractals. Instead of using the calligraphic strokes to build an alphabet based on the typical archetype I used them to construct something visual rather then letters that can transmit something emotional. Each piece is drawn with a brush and with them I constructed a module to create the patterns and fractals. All of this drawings can be visualized in a micro and macro space.

Just a cool Experiment, kinda like the old and ruined effect. If you like it please visit flickr.com/photos/staura/2058752905/ for a similar effect.
A new HDR experiment, with the help of Trey Ratcliffs' great HDR tutorial.
For the photo a selective plance of focus (PoF) was used by the tilt and rotation with my Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L II tilt-shift lens.
