Grip experiment. Next stop: International Space Station. Credit: ESA/Anneke Le Floc'h

My first try at panning. I'm personally not happy with the outcome. I ended up with most of the shots where the car is just entering the frame..These were few of the reasonably decent ones...Suggestions to improve are welcome..

An old type writer was an option for a prop so i decided that it would be interesting to see what kind of photos i could capture.

Stop animation test. Music is Imelda May's "Johnny Got A Boom Boom"

Long exposure. Running around in a dark room with an LED flashlight.

Just experimenting using my cameras & lenses as subjects. Never really done this sort of photography before.

Shown is a Sony A700 + Minolta 50mm f1.4

Taken using a Sony A580 + Zeiss 85mm f1.4

Lit with a LED video light. (will try flash next time!)

Some months ago, I had the concept of reading all the English broadsheet newspapers. I never got around to reading the FT, though - but I was contemplating a long bus journey, and well - here we are.

So, that's the end of the Experiment in Sociology.

A vacuum tube behind a phosphor screen makes it glow green from the X-rays it's emitting.

Check experiment 2 for details of the setup - here I changed the exposure settings of the camera to try and get a less noisy exposure with more contrast.

Initially inspired by A YATES's Marmot, this design evolved during construction.

It tastes OK

4 layers of cake with Jam and Cream, diet on hold a little longer!

Some photographic idea of mine. Will be touched further when more time is available.

iPhone's latest software update, IOS 7, added a panorama feature to the camera...I made a couple run-of-the-mill "panos" (Apple seems to love applying their own terms to things that are already established, have you ever noticed that?), quickly grew bored with them, and decided to experiment with it. These were all taken out the window of a moving bus. I sometimes held my iPhone normally, sometimes horizontally, sometimes upside-down, and so forth, manipulating the way the image was recorded. I rather like the results.

Voronoi experiment, what if I use also the rgb-values and count a '5D' distance, in this case subtracting the colors : d² = Δx²+Δy²-0.25(Δr²+Δg²+Δb²)

Interesting behaviour I think: it seems to seach nearby for a very different color on each pixel

I could not attend the better photography workshop organised by the HWS team due to a personal commitment.

Afternoon when i logged into my twitter i was feeling bad after seeing the tweets from the fellow HWSians. I knew it was waste of sulking about it I took my dad's new Scotch bottle and tried some shots.

Used light from windows and used a mirror for reflection.I need to work a lot on lighting.

Acrylics on paper

This was done a few years ago as part of my first experimentation with acrylics.

I have no idea where I'm going with this. I just felt like a bit of exploring, and I made a masking tape pattern for a Barbie sized, drop-waisted bodice and started sewing.

You can stay-stitch felt around the edges, to stop necklines and armholes gaping. The aim is to cover it all with decoration later on.

I experimented in the kitchen with something ... yes the kitchen is still there and this is what I got - Veal Vilanese and a Peas/Lettuce Salad with a tangy mustard sour cream dressing. The story and recipe can be found here.

An experiment shot using a compact digital camera in an extremely low light condition, and the result came out like this. On board Thai Airways A345, PE class, non-stop flight from BKK to LAX.

Experimenting is so much fun. It really helps with letting go of outcome!
