I wanted to play with led's and see what kind of light I would get from them. I also wanted to see how they would look in a picture inside of a balloon. I had mixed results and this was the only really decent picture from this experiment.
This is my first entry for the MA over at MOCpages. I would appreciate some feedback before I make this official. Better quality photos: www.mocpages.com/moc.php/314280. Link to the MA for those of you who want to check it out: www.mocpages.com/group.php/19864.
Water Experiment
An experiment with merging images.
I took the same photo 3 times.
Then merged the elements of the 3 photos in one photo.
One in overexposed mode, with white balances set to tungsten light, thats the background, that looks a bit blue.
Then in normal exposure, with white balance set to cloudy, thats the water pool, that looks a bit brownish.
The third one, the same, but with a higher iso mode, 400 instead of 100, and a smaller aperture time. Thats the white water spring and some of the bubbles.
Just playing, it kind of looks weird, and a bit cute.
Num projeto patrocinado pela Caixa Economica Federal, foi montado na praça central do shopping Salvador uma mini quadra poliesportiva onde os frequentadores do shopping podem experimentar de forma ludica atividades do esporte paraolimpico. iPhone's latest software update, IOS 7, added a panorama feature to the camera...I made a couple run-of-the-mill "panos" (Apple seems to love applying their own terms to things that are already established, have you ever noticed that?), quickly grew bored with them, and decided to experiment with it. These were all taken out the window of a moving bus. I sometimes held my iPhone normally, sometimes horizontally, sometimes upside-down, and so forth, manipulating the way the image was recorded. I rather like the results.

Results of an experiment in studio with newly acquired fishtank. I did these by dropping indian ink into clear water & shooting it as it slowly settled.
Abandoned swimming pool 09-2009
Brilliant! That's what I said when thinking of doing this and getting this as result. Haha.
Me and my buddy Maarten (On photo), had a blast shooting in an empty Swimming pool. Though we have more funny Long Exposure Multiple Flashing shots, I thought this one is the best.
The How
Shutter: 30 seconds (don't forget a tripod)
Flash 3 times (or more if you want more exposures) and you can use a gel on your flash or not. We tried a red, blue and yellow one. This actually is a yellow one, but with processing (Thx too a little help of Fulvio's - unkempt brown preset thx Fulvio! :D and my own experimenting.) it came out this way.
Used my 10.5mm fisheye lens for it.
Scientists recently performed three more experiments on local freshwater mussels. The purpose was to measure how much pollutants are removed as these animals filter water clean while they eat. This will help tell planners how investments in mussel restoration lead to cleaner water. Imagine if we could decrease our need for water treatment simply by investing in shellfish, many of which can live up to a century. Visit DelawareEstuary.org/freshwater-mussels to learn more.

Usually used for interesting experiments in science. Let's say we're stretching frog's chests in order to understand heart revolution.
I wanted to use the strobe light we had around here, but, of course, when I need it I could not find it. So, an attempt with keeping the lens open and moving my son
The experiment was to see which type of vinegar gave the greatest reaction with baking soda. Turns out the aromatic (balsamic) vinegar was the strongest reaction!
Connectivity and readymade.
Experimenting, manipulating and combining daily life objects in order to attempt, to force or to mystify a workable connection between them, at least to make it visible and/or possible. This exercise is to be considered as a warm-up, a first step towards a further installation or project.

Using a pair of homemade lights (hardware clamp lights w. CFL bulbs and linen drapped over them w. a rubber band, for diffusion) Siona let me experiment with lighting. I paid her in Skittles.
Experiment in light painting. My bike and I in the garage, all the windows cardboarded and taped, a simple Mag-lite flashlight, and 100 10-second exposures all blended together.

Coffee Experiment. This is Gorilla Coffee Kenya Fairview Estate poured with 4 different variables. Grind, filter, and weight were tested. Participants preferred:
Hario V60 dripper 20 grams of coffee and Chemex with Kone over Chemex with paper filter.
Participants were customers and barista.

LIVE PERFORMANCE OCT 31, 2010
11a to 4p
This was an experiment.
I wanted to see how well I could shoot the moon without a telescope.
So, I took my 75-300mm Tamron lens, 2x Minolta Teleconverter and Sony Alpha 100 into my backyard on a tripod. It took quite some time for the planets to align in order that my aperture, focus, and especially shutter speed were as good as they would get.
Did you know that at less than 1/100th of a second at an effective 900mm zoom, the moon’s frame-specific movement is too high to escape creating motion blur? It was pretty astounding to me and utterly integral to actually getting the shot right.
I think I may try again some time when I’m a little more likely to get savaged by a werewolf…
