It's nesting time for the Black-necked Stilts at the North treatment plant in Memphis, Tennessee. I caught this one going through some stretching exercises. Maybe it was listening to workout music!

This month, the girls’ school has encouraged the kids to be more active with a “Movement Calendar” of daily activities. If completed, the kids get a little prize. So, we’ve had daily activities (often, but not always, exercises). Every Wednesday is family fitness day, Jen and I join in as well then. Here’s Leah showing off some mountain climbers.

A penmanship copybook from the 1700s most likely. Based upon the unlined paper, the lettering and penmanship style, and the puritanical text, it appears to be at least this old.

This was my first time shooting with the lovely Jessica. She is a photographer's dream; very photogenic, great to shoot with, creative, and she takes direction well. Jessica is also one of the most sought after and respected models in the Boise area. The only problem with shooting with Jessica is you end up with so many images and it's hard to narrow it down to the top 20 favorites (so I cheated and settled on 60).

We based the theme on the work of Robert Alvarado - one of my photography role models - he is the master of modern pin-up.

I took these photos at our studio in Star, Idaho in November 2015.

Pictured, an Exchange mobile canteen services troops standing under a 190-ton Air Force C-5 transport plane at Operation Reforger, a Cold War military exercise in Germany, 1971.

Through its snack wagons and mobile field exchanges (MFE), AAFES for most of its history has served Soldiers and Airmen engaged in military exercises around the world, especially at the “tip of the spear.”

In 2016-2017, MFEs served American forces on military exercises in Poland, Ukraine, other former Soviet-bloc countries, South Korea and other crucial spots in the world, living up to the AAFES motto, “We go where you go.”

Simulations held at the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment (CELA) are part of the two-week “Foundations of the Profession” course. The Foundations Course prepares students for their entry into the medical profession by introducing them to core skills in a concentrated time frame.

During the CELA exercises, more than 100 students interact with “standardized patients,” individuals paid to rehearse their scripts and create difficult situations for the students. Following each exercise, students are debriefed about their actions and given feedback by many of the School of Medicine’s top anesthesiology and surgical faculty who serve as facilitators during the event.

Lord Dartmouth’s Cup is a standing vessel of sterling silver. The cup is borne ceremoniously by the College Usher in escorting members of the Board of Trustees at Commencement and during other appropriate academic occasions. Crown Jeweler Robert Garrard Jr. crafted the cup in London in 1848. The cup was acquired by the fourth Earl of Dartmouth and was subsequently held by succeeding Earls until 1969, when the ninth Earl presented it to the College during Dartmouth’s bicentennial.
