Usage Statement

It's nesting time for the Black-necked Stilts at the North treatment plant in Memphis, Tennessee. I caught this one going through some stretching exercises. Maybe it was listening to workout music!

This month, the girls’ school has encouraged the kids to be more active with a “Movement Calendar” of daily activities. If completed, the kids get a little prize. So, we’ve had daily activities (often, but not always, exercises). Every Wednesday is family fitness day, Jen and I join in as well then. Here’s Leah showing off some mountain climbers.

It started to rain, an hour before predicted, just as I got to spot from which to watch the nest. I took a few quick shots, knowing that shooting through haze in rain wouldn't get me much that's good, but made plans to come back in early light.

Greater Manchester's emergency services and Highways England traffic officers joined forces last weekend for one of the biggest ever motorway emergency exercises.

Exercise Dark Knight saw over 100 people respond to a simulated major incident on a closed section of the M62 motorway.

Over 50 volunteers played the part of drivers and passengers involved in a major collision. Their role was to simulate a range of injuries, from cuts and bruises to fatalities.

The exercise was designed to improve responses to major road incidents and ensure coordination between the various emergency services.

A penmanship copybook from the 1700s most likely. Based upon the unlined paper, the lettering and penmanship style, and the puritanical text, it appears to be at least this old.

This was my first time shooting with the lovely Jessica. She is a photographer's dream; very photogenic, great to shoot with, creative, and she takes direction well. Jessica is also one of the most sought after and respected models in the Boise area. The only problem with shooting with Jessica is you end up with so many images and it's hard to narrow it down to the top 20 favorites (so I cheated and settled on 60).

We based the theme on the work of Robert Alvarado - one of my photography role models - he is the master of modern pin-up.

I took these photos at our studio in Star, Idaho in November 2015.

The Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Mr Warren J. Smith was guest of honour.

Greater Manchester Police’s Chief Constable Ian Hopkins QPM led the inspection and prize giving, accompanied by Assistant Chief Constable Martin Evans of West Mercia Police.

The Greater Manchester Police Volunteer Cadets were founded in 2012.

The scheme is aimed at 13- 17 year-olds and provides a programme of weekly Cadet nights filled with activity, information and – hopefully – some fun.

The aims of the scheme include:

•Promoting and encouraging a practical interest in policing among young people,

•Providing training which will encourage positive leadership within communities which will include volunteering opportunities,

•Encouraging a spirit of adventure and developing qualities of leadership and good citizenship. Cadets will be given the opportunity to obtain a Duke of Edinburgh Award, First Aid qualification etc.

Outdoor Exerciss - June 1986

My friend and colleague, free diving ace Tomaz Jereb, doing his breathing exercises on land. Tomaz record is a 90 m free dive with constant weight - quite a feat. Normally a 90 m dive requires 5 tanks with different gases and a lot of planning. I certainly can't do it on one breath - and I certainly can't manipulate my lungs like that!

Lord Dartmouth’s Cup is a standing vessel of sterling silver. The cup is borne ceremoniously by the College Usher in escorting members of the Board of Trustees at Commencement and during other appropriate academic occasions. Crown Jeweler Robert Garrard Jr. crafted the cup in London in 1848. The cup was acquired by the fourth Earl of Dartmouth and was subsequently held by succeeding Earls until 1969, when the ninth Earl presented it to the College during Dartmouth’s bicentennial. In this infographic we have made templates of different type body exercises which are followed by plan of motion. Each plan of motion has their body stress area, degrees of freedom and also made some template to show in which area we should have Emphasis on and what all injuries can be avoided while performing these exercises.
