A portrait orientation of an image I took one early morning in Yosemite National Park. Most of the images I took that morning were more wide angle or landscape. For a few I decided to go up and down with a portrait orientation and focus on the Cathedral Rocks and then the reflections caught in the nearby pond. Everything else would just be a little bit of framing for the final image. I later used Silver Efex Pro 2 for the final conversion to black and white and worked with some of the color filters to bring out more of a total contrast for the final image.

Day 103 (v 16.0) - is back again

No proper clouds this morning but the sky was doing something. Whatever it was, it turned everything rosy on the lake.

This place is another reserved world of natural wonders nestled in amongst our modern pressures of life and living that often overlooks wildlife and the chance to be calmer and closer to land and water and to those that never left the cycle of seasonal lifestyle.

It was tremendously freezing outside! - 26°C

My fingers on feet felt nothing when our walk came to end. :):)
