One of the most interesting subway stations of Hamburg captured with my Sony Xperia XZ on my trip last week :)

A very recent and significant collapse of the rock ledge at Pulpit Rock, Portland Bill in Dorset is a reminder of how the Jurassic Coast is constantly changing, be it through natural processes or man-made intervention. Amazing to think that all those shots ever taken here can never now be replicated.
Now long abandoned, the Hawkscraig pier was erected in 1866 for paddle-steamers carrying day-trippers across the Forth from Edinburgh.
When the railway came to Aberdour in the 1890s via the Forth Rail Bridge, the demand for the service declined and the demise of the pier shortly followed.
The Forth Rail Bridge is just visible in the top right of the photo.

Our newly adopted stray kitten into everything, seconds before he climbed into the space which is barely 4” tall and was peering out, head between overhanging paws, by the time I realized and fired up the phone camera he leant over to play with the drawer knob, amazing antics from a very cheeky chap.
Cook's first kettle was a big cast iron affair that sat on the wood burning range. That was nothing! At the opposite end of the range was a monster of a cast iron fountain; big brass spout hanging out over the floor. Don't know what that is? Look it up. There was no plumbed in hot water in those days!
Then came gas, and indoor plumbing. The cast iron kettle was relegated — too slow. Then the fountain went to a museum!
Now the mantra is "electrify everything". Cook's new range is sleek, powered by induction, no stoking required and no indoor emissions. How long will the turquoise kettle last? I'd say its days are numbered too!
That original kitchen had character; atmosphere — soot, grease — that kind of thing. This is all stainless and sterile. If there's a down side, I couldn't revive an abandoned newborn lamb in front of this range. Those were the days!
Late sunset in a hazy tropical sky. Timing is everything as cumulus rises through a moisture laden wind layer. The sun is almost on the horizon and some 20 degrees to the right.
It struck me when I post this, that everything about this bird is long - beak, neck, wings, legs, toes
I've had an uploading rush of images, will slow down now, I promise...heheheh....
really like this strange one, don't know why... cause I'm strange perhaps.. well, I wish you all flickr peeps an amazing 08! thanks for having made my 07 a better year then the one before. I have all your support and luv you've shown me and my images to thank for that.

This photo features shutter drag, using flash to freeze the subject in motion, also allowing you to photograph at low speed. Fana Lv is the model.
Everything was prepared. We arrived 30min before sunrise and had plenty of time to find a good composition. As the sun came up, I took a lot of pictures to make sure everything is right. Focusing on the mountains, focusing on the foreground etc. Out of nowhere these three ducks appeared. I was way to slow to change camera setting so they were out of frame. Knowing they where probably feed a lot, I grabbed some small stones and threw them in front of my camera. Here is a picture of three disappointed ducks 😋

Sharpness stacking was done in Gimp. Also I took a different image of the island and edited it in because I couldnt get it in the original shot fully. The ducks are also added in gimp but where shot at exact the same camera position. The image was totally underexposed which made it impossible to use fully.
