Doug Harrop Photography • Oct. 18, 1976
Doug and his trusty camera were in the Tehachapi Mountains when he composed this spellbinding photograph of two eastbound trains. Southern Pacific 8953 East emerges from a side track, sanders fully engaged, as SP 8652 East waits on the main line at Rowan, California on Oct. 18, 1976.
As is often the case, timing is everything.
You're a falling star, you're the get away car.
You're the line in the sand when I go too far.
You're the swimming pool, on an August day.
And you're the perfect thing to say.
And you play it coy, but it's kinda cute.
Ah, when you smile at me you know exactly what you do.
Baby don't pretend, that you don't know it's true.
Cause you can see it when I look at you.
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, you make me sing.
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.
You're a carousel, you're a wishing well,
And you light me up, when you ring my bell.
You're a mystery, you're from outer space,
You're every minute of my everyday.
*guyz dont forget to download the song =P

Back to the sunflower field where there is a distinct "end of season" feel to the place, although this one looks about ready to perform the finale. It's not quite Autumn yet although the weather has taken a turn for the worse. But in some parts of the world everything will already be waking up again.

This is the magnificent maple across the street, a favorite subject of mine. Very wet snow, a total lack of wind and temperatures just below freezing make for a lovely coating of snow on everything that is neither melting nor falling off.
My watercolour and ink landscape painting, on top of the same sky as last time, i used a layer mask, but cant for the life of me remember which one i chose now!
C'est vert du sol au plafond et c'est tout ce que l'on demande à ce lieux... ou peut-être bien peut-on rajouter le champs des oiseaux et une fine brise qui vient carresser toute ses nouvelles feuilles !

Now that it's November, it's time to put away the summer for a few months. The first couple sunflower fields we visited a few weeks ago were ready for harvest, with wilted blooms as far as the eye could see -- except for that plucky youngster in the front.

This is an image from my Fragments project.
Knowledge consists of fragments of information, of facts, of experiences. We arrange these fragments in some order and we get a narrative which forms into knowledge. If we arrange fragments in a different order, we will get a different narrative. But all the information remains.
