On our way to the Lee Family Highland House in Glencoe, California, just after we left the Lake Tahoe area, we traveled through several US National Forests, including this one: El Dorado National Forest. Jayne fell in love with it and she wants to return to it so we can camp and hike in it. It really is a beautiful forest, and every different from all others that we saw. Every year the ancient city of Birgu in Malta hosts Birgufest, with a variety of activities, in particular Birgu by Candlelight. Thousands of candles are lit across the city, illuminating the old buildings and alleys. Food stalls are set up and there is live music on the central square. Every now and then I end up backstage at Croydon's Fairfield Halls - probably the biggest/most important theatre/event space in the local area (it has been here since 1962). This time around I brought my camera along to shoot my buddy Jay (that's him with the Chinese tattoos) who was drumming with 'punk rock n roll' outfit Kitty Hudson - who are nice chaps. I probably should have taken more pictures but I wasn't taking the whole thing all that seriously. Haven't done any band photography in ages, so it was a fine feeling to take a break from all the food photos. The rest of the evening, post gig, was destructive.
Every night in several stages by different groupe, in various titel and construction, 2 hours for about 5 US$ would be only the best art and cultural paradise in SE Asia. Their dance is not firstly for tourists' interest but for their tradition which didcated to the Gods. They share it to tourists and earn finacial support to their arts. This dance is rather exceptional title which created for non-locals, so it feels like some western stage dance performance. This world famous groupe, Tirta-sari's stage was especially exellent. Every year the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets across the country have a national sailing regatta hosted at the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario. Before competing at the final event in Kingston, cadets from every region must qualify at the regional regatta to move forward. This year the regional event for British Columbia is hosted at the “South Vancouver Island Cadet Nautical Training Site” in Esquimalt Harbour, and out of the 40 sailors that compete, only 20 can qualify in the Provincial Qualifier so that they may participate in the National Qualifier next spring, and finally the best 8 sailors will be sent to Kingston in the summer to represent the Pacific region.
This year the cadets were met their first day with challenging 15 knot winds, and beautiful sunshine on their last day of sailing sunday with winds at 5-8 knots. Please enjoy the photo album in the link below, photos taken by Vassili Angelblazer.

On the train commute to work yesterday morning, I found myself crunched up against a pushbike (as you do) and liked the angle of the handlebars. Came home and re-engaged with my own pushbike, with whom I have not had sensible convo in ages.

Whenever we get the chance to visit Tagaytay City, we always make it a point to pass by the Good Shepherd Sisters Convent to buy goodies and sweets. My daughter really likes the Ube Dimples from that place. It is a soft chewy candy made from yam and sprinkled with sugar.

To all members of EPPFG,
Ethiopian People patriotic front guard (EPPFG) in Germany had carried its regular meeting in Gostenhof Adam-Klein str, 06, in Nürnberg on Mai , 02, 2015. The meeting was aimed to discuss about the current political situation in Ethiopia. During the meeting there were many members of the organization including supporters and religion leaders. The members of the organization has discussed deeply on the human right violation of the dictator government of Ethiopia. Alternative solutions were also forwarded by the members to liberate the country form such a racist regime. The meeting was accomplished successfully after having a common stand on unity and freedom of Ethiopia.
