Every cemetery has a few shattered stones, propped up next to their standing neighbors, pointing out the space between creation and destruction. Most will never be repaired, and those that do look worse for the mismatched mortar and rusty rebar holding them together. I'm happy to let things lie for now, and if they survive five centuries or greater, maybe some archaeologist will take notice. I can't put my finger on it, that feeling of being exactly where I belong. It's perfectly clear until it suddenly isn't, the exact emotion of the moment, the right light and weather. It's something we want without realizing, a happiness that hinges on no one but us. Most of what's good in my life, I owe to the dead. Most of the rest, I owe to nature. Everything I get from all of that lets me be some good to the living.

It is a week full of idea-sharing, team-building and coming together to sort out Florida's coastal issues. This year, staff was invited to visit the Florida Organic Aquaculture shrimp grow out facility in Fellsmere, Fla. and the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit in Fort Pierce, Fla.

ETHIOPIAN PEOPLE PATRIOTIC FRONT GUARD
To all members of EPPFG,
Ethiopian People patriotic front guard (EPPFG) in Germany had carried its regular meeting in Gostenhof Adam-Klein str, 06, in Nürnberg on Mai , 02, 2015. The meeting was aimed to discuss about the current political situation in Ethiopia. During the meeting there were many members of the organization including supporters and religion leaders. The members of the organization has discussed deeply on the human right violation of the dictator government of Ethiopia. Alternative solutions were also forwarded by the members to liberate the country form such a racist regime. The meeting was accomplished successfully after having a common stand on unity and freedom of Ethiopia.

Every year, in early autumn, a group of glider aficionados
met at Gray Rocks. I inquired about going up for a ride and was told it could be arranged. Oh joy!!!

Every now and then, a few of us will head on over to my mate James' place, hang out, watch a couple of movies and discuss them in depth afterwards. It always makes for an enjoyable evening.
To give you an idea of the calibre of cinema we select to sit down and experience, here are some of the titles we've watched recently: Battle Royale (2000), Fist of Legend (1994) and No Country For Old Men (2007).
The screen still you see above is from No Country For Old Men. Great film. I had seen it before, but wanted to see it again, and as it turned out, I noticed things that I hadn't on the first viewing. This lead to great further discussion in the glow of the paused credits. Rad.
Each day - for 365 days in total - I will shoot and upload an image. The only rule I have set for myself is that each shot must include myself - in some way, shape or form - and anything edible.
With this, I will be pushing myself to be creative on a daily basis and hopefully develop a better eye for the image that speaks a thousand words along the way.
I hope you enjoy a year in the life of Dre... and hopefully my diet will get better throughout the journey.

Another few shots I took in June when trying sports photography for the first time. A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to shoot his team's rugby match. So, I hired a 70-200L 2.8 IS and coupled it with my shiny 8 fps-monster 7D and worked my magic. It was a great game and I was happy to find I had shot some killershots (in my humble opinion). I recently heard the guys from the team had one of the images printed in large and hung in their clubhouse, awesome!
