Midnight Moment: Fischli Weiss, Büsi (Kitty)
February 1, 2016 - February 29, 2016
every night from 11:57pm-midnight
Peter Fischli and David Weiss rescreen their famous video, Büsi (Kitty) (2001), in which a cat languidly laps milk, coolly observing us from above on Times Square’s electronic billboards. Büsi is a brief video by Peter Fischli and David Weiss, originally commissioned in 2001 by Creative Time as part of The 59th Minute project on the NBC Astrovision screen in Times Square. Fifteen years later, this cat again observes the bustle of all that surrounds it with cool detachment, lounging in the heart of our metropolis. The film is a short excerpt from Fischli and Weiss’ 96-hour video installation Untitled (Venice Work) (1995).
This month’s project is in conjunction with the retrospective Peter Fischli David Weiss: How to Work Better, on view at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum from February 5-April 27.

Every day another flower. The heat of summer. Autumnal mornings. August
afternoons. "Making hay" without ceasing. Then the rain, and you stop
of necessity. An unexpected quiet. A dim brightness within a shadow.
In the stillness, the unexpected wetness — the memories, wiring
themselves into gaps like vines, climbing, tugging, tearing.
Took a drive down to see the wild mustangs. I thought they might be having their foals and I did find two new ones!
Day 12.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)
The "Super harvest moon" only occurs every twenty or so years. I missed its brightest orange glow, when it was close to the horizon, because the surroundings leave almost no hope of even seeing the moon until it's approaching ten degrees above the horizon, and that requires being in some very few places. But either way, it was fun. I hope to post more photographs of the moon in the next month or two as it moves through its phases.
Every spring is the only spring - a perpetual astonishment.

Green, green everywhere you look. Hurrary!
Our room top left is booked a year in advance every year and offers a great view onto the proceedings in the square below.
Let me tell you, every dancer that took the stage on Saturday was talented. Each one was my favorite. But, I have to tell you, that my camera loved this dancer in particular. Every single photo she is in is perfect. Everyone. Every stinking one!
There really are photogenic people. I, myself, am not one of them. And that is exactly why I am behind the camera.
Every 6 months or so the nice people at Pizza Express invite us to come down and try some new things on their menu. The Winter Menu for 2015 also coincides with the chain's 50th Anniversary. This means the addition of new dishes (which are not technically ’new’ since they were on the menu 5 decades back at one point). Also a very tiny pizza range called Romana65 that seems to focus on buffalo mozzarella (which is really the best mozzarella, right?)
We headed down to the Pizza Express on George Street, Croydon (my endz bruv) to see what some of the new stuff tasted like so that we could inform you. Stuff we tried this time included...
'Autunno’: Patricia Moroney’s winning pizza in the chain’s 'Create Your New Favourite' competition (chorizo, goat's cheese, roasted butternut squash, spinach, garlic oil, chilli flakes, tomato and mozzarella, finished with chilli oil and fresh parsley). Also 'Salted Caramel Profiteroles': part of the ‘Dolcetti’ section in the dessert menu (which kinda means ’small desserts’, I think). These are profiteroles with a sweet caramel coating, the inside filled with salted caramel cream. Excessively great and balanced out nicely by shit strong espresso at a time of the day that is really too late for full body caffeine injection.
AND a new & truly delicious Calabrian wine called ‘Peperosso’ - a blend of Merlot and Magliocco grapes that is really quite something! (namely: fruit forward, smoke and leather flavours, which are quite often characteristic of things grown in that region). I did not expect to a vino I liked quite so much in Pizza Express of all places...

Every year in March, San Francisco becomes the epicenter of the game industry. This year, #SwissGames will bring 19 Swiss game developers and technologies to the Game Developers Conference (GDC) as well as the European Game Showcase.
The 2019 delegation has a majority of female developers or women-led studios and a full parity of studios coming from French and German-speaking regions of Switzerland, reflecting the diversity of this developing industry.
The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the world’s largest professional game industry event and brings more than 28,000 attendees to San Francisco to shape the future of the industry over five days. Attendees include programmers, artists, producers, game designers, audio professionals, business decision-makers and others involved in the development of interactive games and immersive experiences.

Take a photo every day in 2011
From this vantage point I thought a good place to take a photograph would be round to the right as the crowds are coming and going from the estate over there, I drove round but was disappointed to find the trees spoiling the view of the fair
