Every step in Paris offers something to photograph. Took this shot from across the street. Thankfully she didn't see me. She was in such a solemn mood - a personification of loneliness itself. I wonder what she was thinking about.

"The artist is the confidant of Nature. Flowers carry on dialogues with him through the graceful bending of their stems and the harmoniously tinted nuances of their blossoms. Every flower has a cordial word which Nature directs towards him."

Every time I'm in the LA area I always plan for a few hours at the Huntington Gardens where I can get my fill of potential stock photography. The most visually intriguing of Mr. Huntington's many different gardens is the desert garden, which features some of the most impressive yucca, cacti, and succulents on the planet.

Meet Zeus!
Every day at the shelter there are amazing stories...and Zeus is on such story that is unforgettable.
He is one of our favorite dogs of all time with the Pit Crew...
Two weeks ago, people had seen two dogs on the side of the road for over 24 hours. One of the dogs was not moving. As it turns out, that dog is Moxie, a sweet as can be 6 month old pit bull terrier mix puppy. Her leg was crushed when she was hit by a car.
There was a white knight in shining fur...standing guard over his friend for more than 24 hours as she lay there with a crushed leg. He refused to leave her side. He protected her and kept her warm, both of them, waiting to be rescued from this scary, cold place on the side of the road.
A Good Samaritan, who also just magically happened to be a veterinarian, was able to get to the side of the road to see what had happened. She brought both of them to SLCo to safety.
As it turned out, when we scanned this brave white knight, he was our old friend Zeus, this now being his third time with us in the shelter. Zeus, being one of the most stable, amazing dog's we've known, back with us again? How could that be?
Last year, the kind vets at AVC did a specialty surgery on his eyes for us so he could be adopted...his home was not his forever home. We tried again, and he was adopted, only to now be back wondering what he could have done wrong. Well, he's not done anything wrong, and through it all, this dog continues to score A's and B's on his behavior test. He's rock solid, faithful, affectionate, and he stood by his special friend Moxie when she needed him the most.
Zeus deserves a FOREVER home...one that will cherish this boy for the goofy, utterly hugable, squishy boy he is. Zeus will sit by your side, politely lean into to you, and bury his big head in your chest...he will let you kiss him and scratch his ears and rump like it is the best thing that has ever happened to him.
Please, help us find this boy the permanent, most awesome home that he deserves!
And, his good friend Moxie is already in foster home, she had her rear leg amputated and is doing wonderfully and will be ready for adoption soon!
Now it's Zeus's turn. Think you can provide the best home ever for this amazing white knight in shining fur? We hope so!
Here's an update on Moxie, the puppy he refused to leave behnid! www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZOP5c84ZQc&feature=share
This wall had a patch for every mission ever flown, with launch and landing dates underneath. Except for STS-51-L and STS-107, which had no landing tags.

I took pictures of this very same dairy herd about 2 or 3 years ago, and every time we go by there, I look for the cows to be under the trees, so I can take more pictures (and hopfully do a better job of it.) I finally found them under a tree the other day (the day I had inadvertently set my exposure value to -2. So these pictures are not the great picture of these cows that I see in my mind's eye, but I'm happy I was able to save them, and I learned a lot by working on them. One of these days, I'll get a shot of those cows that will wow the world! Lol!
Every Rochester, NY photographer has to have a shot of the High Falls of the Genesee River. This is mine.

About every 3 days I have to do this... the kids are constantly molding and building things out of playdoh at our house. After hours of playtime, the playdoh gets dry and stiff. A good dashing under the faucet gets it back to "like new" status.
...and every hour it plays a different tune. I it also lights up and the waterfall becomes animated, there's a button you can press to make the sound of a rushing stream but the only button I want to find is the one that turns off the bloody music. A gift from our landlord which he installed for us right in the middle of our longest living room wall.
