A warm evening in Florida. We hear bullfrogs. Or gators maybe???? Their Harrruuumph sounds are similar. And delightful to hear.
We enjoyed several beautiful sunsets during our workshop in Joshua Tree National Park.

As evening descends over the Rocky Mountains with Union Pacific's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision therein, the rumble of a train can be heard through South Boulder Canyon as they work their way up the 2% grade into Pinecliffe, Colorado. Framed from atop tunnel 29, we see an empty UP westbound oil train pass the sight of the daylighted tunnel 28 in the backdrop, then wrapping around the bend past the Boiling Gulch just before entering the east portal of the short tunnel 29.
The roar of six locomotives working their train through some of the most impressive railroad engineering for its time, the sounds of the South Boulder Creek below and the cool evening air all from my vantage point overlooking the canyon was truly breathtaking and a mere image just cannot do justice.

It's the time of year when my devotion to keeping the bird feeder filled with black-oil sunflower seeds really pays off.
Evening grosbeaks have started to arrive. Hopefully they'll stick around for a while.

Abends an der Weser, nähe den Tiefer-Arkaden in Bremen. Alter Mann braucht seine Pause und ich sitze auf einer Bank, da kommen die Ruderer vorbei.
Evening on the Weser, near the Tiefer Arkaden in Bremen. An old man needs a break, and I'm sitting on a bench when the rowers pass by.
A lake doesn't have to be deep to impress with a beautiful atmosphere in the evening. This lake is 1 m deep on average. You can stand in the middle of the lake :). Nevertheless, it fills you with lake mood.

Canadian Pacific's westbound train, 687, is dead in the water without a re-crew for several hours at Tamarack, as the late spring sun makes a mad dash for the horizon.

It only took a couple years, and approximately a metric-ton of black-oil sunflower seeds, but evening grosbeaks have finally graced my yard with their presence. They've shown up three days straight now.

Evening Rose - Approximately 2-year old female Bobcat next to a wild rose. It was great to see this beautifully patterned individual after several months. I imagine mortality is high for juvenile Bobcats, but she seems to have been doing well overall despite being a little thin.
