The letters "N.Y. N.H. & H. R.R." are etched in stone outside this exit from Boston's Back Bay station. They stand for the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad, which was once the dominant railroad between Boston and New York City, but which ceased to exist in 1968 -- after ending passenger service to my hometown in 1959.

With some help, I arrived at a a good title for this combination of summer flowers etched into winter frost. I made it on a day when the 2 feet of snow was melting rapidly, and hope was springing up...but we have since reverted to full winter mode.
Couple of years ago I finished my etch lessons, this was one of my etches. Uploaded this specially for group "Handgemaakt in Holland'.
The goal here was to bring out the etching in the glass. The hard part was to clean up the old glass to make it presentable.
