Today in the Student Center students had the opportunity to DIY their own essential oil rollers. Students made blends to help with stress, memory, anxiety, and focus.
"Valerie Merriam supports Monroe County United Ministries (MCUM) in almost every possible way. She's a food donor, financial donor, advocate, and volunteer. Since Valerie started volunteering in 2005, she has shared almost 3,000 hours of her time with MCUM. As the volunteer Pantry Supply Coordinator, Valerie helps to keep MCUM's Emergency Food Pantry running smoothly. She shops for food at grocery stores and the Hoosier Hills Food Bank, trains volunteers, and manages pantry operations. Valerie just recently added data entry to her list of tasks and she now helps MCUM keep track of volunteer hours and food donations.
MCUM's Emergency Services Program, which includes the Emergency Food Pantry, provided basic needs assistance to 971 Monroe County households in 2012. The pantry distributed enough food to make 37,557 meals. These successes would not be possible without the dedication of volunteers like Valerie."
