A photo I took years ago of sunset over the Warrumbungles from Siding Spring. My randomiser script just popped one of these photos up on my background, reminding me that I hadn't yet processed this set. Here's an attempt at a HDR (but there's a much better attempt here.

If you have a photo with horrendous darks you make a duplicate layer.

Select the top layer and adjust/equalize. Set opacity to about 25% , blend mode normal.

Keep adding more duplicate layers to suit.

Winter can be The Great Depression for many, and often for me. This year hasn't been nearly as bad as others, but I am still counting down the days to warmer weather.

I was out at Brant's Crossing yesterday shooting some pics for a friend when I spotted this city worker preparing the nearby park for spring. With my camera in hand, hanging at my side, and I simply released the shutter.

I equalized, posterized, screened, etc., and came up with this (less than) interesting art photograph. Or maybe it's just the depression of winter making me feel that way about it.
