These are quilt blocks specifically made for John Adams (aka "Quilt Dad"). It is from a great pattern by Jennifer Ofenstein (sewhooked.com), and was my first attempt at paper piecing.

For my part in the Friends Leadership Program at George Fox, I got together with the Youth and they gave me tons of ideas on paper - as well as 3 great photos to start this series off with. They all helped work together for a concept that fit the Quaker Value.
This ‘Equality’ themed CreativeMornings/SP event was generously hosted by NOVA 535 with special support from Roundhouse Creative.
Shannon Lipan poured her heart out as our speaker.

This is Henry Washington, a homeless man who approached me while I was photographing people in Eastern Market in Washington, DC. Henry wanted me to photograph him so that I could let people know about how homeless people are treated, and he informed me about a non-profit organization called Community Connections.
